I was looking for a commercial grade mixer for some time. I must be unusually hard on them. I know people that have their mixers for years and I go thru about one a year. I have a large family and cook in volume. The size of the mixing blades is "hardy", I'm glad.

Appears to be a very good mixer. Low speed could be slower and the size of the mixer for a hand held is a little large. If buying on line without actual seeing the unit you may be surprised at the size and weight. However it will get most any job done.

This item is made to look like an industrial or professional model, but it's generally the same plastic parts (with metallic paint) that you find in most cheap mixers. The motor does have decent power, but the gears are plastic and not up to the challenge. It doesn't last.

I had to replace my mixer after Hurricane Ike. I've used my hand mixer 2 times now. I'm very impressed with the performance. It has the weight and feel of a professional product. I would definitely reccommend this product to anyone that bakes often, and from scratch like I do.
