Major game play changes!

So it's like the original but then again it's totally different. You can no longer charge your tension bar to full at any time by holding o. This is what has ruined this game for me. I gave the first heros a perfect rating and then some. Not being able to do coup de grace ever has ruined it for me.

If you are a fan of the Dragon Quest series, and or you just liked the first Dragon Quest Heroes. This game is a great addition to the series. It took everything that was awesome from the first DQH, and expanded on them. Great fun.

Dragon Quest Heroes II review – crossover warriors

The new team-up between Square Enix and the makers of Dynasty Warriors offers four-player co-op and the promise of genuine change.

The game almost plays like a proper action role-player now, with open world areas, switchable classes, and increased gameplay variety; Four-player co-op is very welcome, if awkward to use

Highly repetitive in most of the usual Dynasty Warriors ways, including the brain-dead combat and non-existent artificial intelligence; Highly simplistic and cliched mission design

Different.

A different take on the hack and slash genre, but let down by sticky controls, dropped inputs and terrible voice acting.

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Review – Adventures in Button Mashing

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 is a Musou game set in Square Enix's enormously popular RPG universe. The one with the blue slimes and the Dragonball hair, not the one with the Calvin Klein models swinging huge swords at each other.

Delicious Musou combat; Tons of characters with unique abilities; Distinct Dragon Quest flavour

Character growth is so boring; Non-combat quests interrupt momentum; Some combat quests felt padded

This review is long overdue, and all I can do is apologise. I've been going through a rough patch, especially these past few days, but with the help of fun game, any kind of stress and anxiety can float away. A fun game is what we all need from time to time.

Large roster of Dragon Quest Heroes; Nice balance between free roam and battle sections; Some great boss fights; Lots of collectibles and extras to do

Lock-aim only works for bigger enemies and isn't all that great; Vocations are fairly redundant; Some of the voice acting is off; Skill trees are limited

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Review

Going the long rout

Charming looks; More RPG than musou

Being asked to go the long way; Most of the cast is forgettable; Friendly monster AI isn't great

There are far worse things to do with an afternoon than spending it on Dragon Quest Heroes II . For instance, playing a game that doesn't let you fight with warfans.
