Dragon Age: Origins (PC) - Review

Bioware has quite a résumé as an RPG developer. They have released blockbuster after blockbuster, but it's been several years since Bioware built an RPG around the Dungeons & Dragons PC style of the genre – a style which they themselves set standards for with the Baldur's Gate series.

Dragon Age: Origins

BioWare delivers yet again. Evil beings have an excuse, they only know the darkness, but […]

+ Deep combat; + Outstanding story; + Huge scope

Environments are meh; Uneven difficulty; Not enough potions

Dragon Age: Origins

I believe 2009 to be one of worst years for PC gaming in a long time. While console gamers have fared better, PC gamers have had to put up with one poorly executed console port after another. Is there no hope? Where is our knight in shining armor? Look there! On the horizon!

Rich, deep setting; chess-like tactical combat; brings role playing back to the RPG

No multiplayer; player's character lacks a voice of his own; very challenging gameplay

Dragon Age: Origins

When we first saw Dragon Age at E3, we walked away skeptical, grumbling at the rough graphics and odd focus on character interactions that bordered on high school level drama. Compared to the butter smooth E3 demo for Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age looked like it would end up being the black sheep of the...

Wonderfully detailed world; amazing story; memorable characters and party interaction

Dragon Age: Origins Review (PC)

Dragon Age: Origins is probably one of the hardest games I have played in some time, killing me repeatedly. I have found myself pausing the game every five seconds in battle, pouring over all the …

Amazing value, and great re-playability

Awesome game, one of the best RPG's I have ever played. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. It is better that its sequel and most RPG's out there. If you are looking for a great game with hours upon hours of gameplay this would be one of the best choices.

Still one of the best games ever!

I played this years ago (several times), and in waiting for the next DA to come out, I ordered this and played it again. Just a helpful note: The Key enclosed with the physical DVD does not work when you type it in. You have to go online to Origin and validate it there.

Best Bioware game since Baldur's Gate II

This is without a doubt Bioware's best RPG since Baldur's Gate II. I spent many nights playing until 6:30 AM without even realising because I was so into the plot. The story is fantastic, graphics are stunning, combat is entertaining, and you'll fall in love with the NPCs.

"Dragon Age: Origins: A Dark Fantasy Must-Own for any RPG Fan"

Dragon Age: Origins The Story The story is set in the fictional realm of Ferelden, a dark, high-fantasy setting. The land is haunted by horrific monsters called the Darkspawn, who plague the underground, and who every so often rise up in what is known as a 'Blight' to wipe out every living thing in...

Great story; great characters; morality system is innovative

Combat is bad
