Donkey Kong Country is a series that many feel an affinity for after the original Rare-developed trilogy, yet it's one of the few that some agree doesn't need nostalgia to appreciate it.

The argument about whether Retro Studios should or shouldn't be spending its energy on another Donkey Kong Country game rages, but at this point it's moot. The studio finished a while ago and is surely now working on something other than this series, but while they do, let's talk Donkey Kong...

If Mario platformers are an acid trip in a playground, then Donkey Kong is on speed in a death trap. But it's the good kind of speed that makes you feel invincible until that final fatal moment, wherein you restart the level and subject yourself again with a manic smile on your face.

Great game, takes a little getting used to, more difficult than Mario

for those who love the donkey kong series from the super nintendo era will love this game. the game itself is over fun. it has plenty on levels and hidden quest. the graphic are amazing and detail, and the music fits well with the level.

Me and my son love this game, it's great that it's two player. Controls are different from classic donkey kong, we seem to get stuck together and have to refer back to controls on how to get off from donkey kongs back. But other than that. Great game as solo or toe player.

It hit me last night. As I was playing a bit more Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze before penning my review I realized just how maddening this game can be. I lifted my GamePad up in the air after yet another untimely death and I almost threw it across the room.

Yes the process of purchasing this product went really well.. The game content is good and a platform game it is with all your favourite characters from Donkey Kong..I am pleased and would recommend it to any gamer who enjoys action, adventure and fun..I'm certainly enjoying this game.
