'Dishonored 2' is set fifteen years after the events of the first game. Emily Kaldwin has reigned as Empress under the vigilant eye of her father Corvo, since reinstated as Lord Protector following his betrayal at the hands of first the Spymaster's conspiracy and then the loyalist's own conspiracy.
Dishonored was a genuine surprise when it launched four years ago; an innovative first-person experience that confounded expectations. That Dishonored 2 manages to once again surprise and amaze as much as the first game did is testament to what Arkane has crafted here.
The sewage, the steampunk fashions and the bloody coups at every turn – we could only be back in Dunwall. And it is certainly a joy to be back. When I played the first Dishonored, I thought the worst part about it was the spelling. Dishonored. As a Brit, it still kills me not to type Dishonoured.
2012's Dishonored is one of last generation's greatest original titles, offering relatively open-ended level design, an array of innovative supernatural powers and a variety of solutions to tackling enemies. It's a hitherto unseen formula and one that's still a rarity in today's videogame landscape.
Great game! Great story, great graphics, amazing value for money! Hours upon hours of gameplay and lots of freedom of choice in how you wish to play!
Arrive faster than estimated, immediately on the release day. 5/5 - The mask is sadly not wearable, the material is nothing fancy but the detail is superb. 3.5/5 - The ring is something to treasure it is well built but sadly doesn't find my finger. 4/5 - It came with a small poster, double sided.
