Dishonored 2 [Xbox One] review: this game is Attano fun

2012's Dishonored is one of last generation's greatest original titles, offering relatively open-ended level design, an array of innovative supernatural powers and a variety of solutions to tackling enemies. It's a hitherto unseen formula and one that's still a rarity in today's videogame landscape.

Dishonored 2 Review – Xbox One

Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the events of the first game, which saw Corvo Attano restore Emily Kaldwin to the throne of the Empire of the Isles. Starting in the city of Dunwall, Dishonored 2 opens with Corvo and Emily still in their positions of influence, though the quick reveal of a new...

Positives + Excellent sense of place + Genuine freedom of choice for players

Negatives; Story falls a little flat

Dishonored 2

'Dishonored 2' is set fifteen years after the events of the first game. Emily Kaldwin has reigned as Empress under the vigilant eye of her father Corvo, since reinstated as Lord Protector following his betrayal at the hands of first the Spymaster's conspiracy and then the loyalist's own conspiracy.

Just the two of us

A solid game that definitely has an audience. Might lack replay value, could be too short or there are some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.

Dishonored 2 review: Smarter, prettier, better

Like its new protagonist, Emily Kaldwin, Dishonored 2 has a lot to live up to. She, of course, is the youthful Empress of the Isles and the daughter of its most feared and notorious assassin – Corvo Attano.

Dishonored 2 Review

Dishonored 2 is great, it manages to keep to the style of the first game, improve on it no end and provides a superb playground for stealth or out and out bloodletting.

Dishonored 2 Review

Update: Dishonored 2 has been nominated for IGN's 2016 Game of the Year . No two playthroughs are the same in Dishonored 2 . Developer Arkane has doubled down on the original's play-your-way formula with two separate sets of skills, a deep and multifaceted world, and a dizzying array of level...

Game Review: Dishonored 2

In 2012, Bethesda and Arkane Studios blessed us with the sublime Dishonored , a game with a unique art style and encouraged a variety of play-styles, from stealth to all out slaughter.

Two playable characters with Emily and Corvo; Fantastic new powers introduced; Great level design offers many routes; Visually stunning world

Save data from original would have been somewhat of a cool feature

Dishonored 2 review

These are quibbles, though, dismissed the second you catch sight of something ornate or horrid through a shutter, overhear witches squabbling about table manners, or peer into the memories of a tyrant and find there a child who, once upon a time, had the makings of a musician.

Dishonored 2 Review

Nevertheless, it's worth noting that the fantastic battle I mentioned at the start of this review occurred during that underwhelming final mission, which goes to show that even at its weakest, Dishonored 2 is a huge amount of fun.
