Only derby game on ps3 that I know. It gets repetitive and after a while it's just too easy to win every race. That being said: it's just a lot of fun to play. It's a well made derby game. I like racing but the cars have to be able to get damaged to make me feel engaged. This game does that.

Developer Codemasters feels the DiRT racing franchise has "outgrown a single game" over the last few years, hence its recent decision to split the franchise into two different flavours, one of which is a realistic simulation racer and the other a too-cool-for-school arcade one.

DiRT Showdown is the first game to hit shelves since Codemasters' recent rebranding as Codemasters Racing, and it really shows the benefits of a developer single-mindedly pursuing quality in one particular field. Like its predecessors, it favours speedy conflicts across international tracks.

I expected graphics as good as Dirt 2 for this but in my opinion them seemed worse. 2560 X 1440 monitor, GTX 670 GPU, i3570k processor, 8gb DDR3 RAM.
