Destiny 2

In 2014, Bungie set out on an ambitious project with Destiny . It was a game which prior to release was pitched as an epic game with an experience matched only by the ambition of the gamers playing it.

Engaging storyline; Beautiful environments; Plenty of loot

Silent player character; Jumping mechanics erratic

Light on content.

If you simply ran out of things to do in vanilla Destiny 2, its first DLC expansion, Curse of Osiris, adds a few new activities for you to take on. It introduces a new setting in Mercury, a short campaign, new weapons and gear, Strikes, Crucible maps, Adventures, among smaller things.

The Infinite Forest is an interesting concept with some gorgeous location designs; Experimenting with new loot shows off Destiny's fantastic gunplay; The Raid Lair is a fun challenge to take on with a Fireteam

Locks you out of the hardest content if you only have the base game; and that content isn't fundamentally different from before; The campaign rushes through a high-stakes story and feels half-baked as a result; Mercury's activities feel like busywork with no compelling incentive to do them

Destiny 2

For the sake of clarity and transparency, we'd like to explain a few things from the offset. About a month ago, we visited Bungie in Seattle, where we played through two-thirds of the Destiny 2 campaign.

Destiny 2 – The Verdict

It's strange to think it was three years ago when Steve and myself first shared Our Thoughts on Destiny the First, and two years since I decided that The Taken King had gone a long way towards tidying up some of the rough edges from the base game.

As an overall product, Destiny 2 is an incredible feat. Bungie spent three years essentially beta-testing this game, and used the knowledge gained from its predecessor to improve and fine-tune just about every aspect of the experience.

Destiny 2 is a much bigger game, which improves on all the gameplay features and mechanics of the original. More importantly, it does come with a meaningful story that drives solo players through all the game's content without turning the experience into an absolute borefest.

Plenty of content to play after campaign story; Excellent co-op and competitive gameplay; There's an actual story in it; and a decent one; Clan system is a great tool to better approach end content; Improves on just about every aspect of gameplay from Destiny

No new alien races to shoot; Still not recommended for solo players

Great game bargain price paid

Played the first one couldn't really get into to it. But this one is a lot better. Love how you share the maps with other players and that you can do public challenges togerher without having an online pass

Forsaken

Have been playing Destiny solo since day 1 have only given 3 stars because they have made upgrading weapons & armour very difficult and frustrating also the game is really for multiplayers not players like me l know a lot of players love the game but I will not be purchasing any dlc in the future.
