A much more cohesive experience overall this time around, Destiny 2 may not be all that big of an evolution over the core elements of the first game but Bungie have trimmed the fat and refined the foundation in order to give its target demographic exactly what they want.

Unless you've been living under a rock, if you're a Destiny fan, then the chances are that you know of the big plotline revolving around one of the series most beloved characters. Now just in case you don't know, I'll soon go into who that is, so this is your pre-spoiler warning.

Buy Destiny 2: Forsaken Everyone loves a good revenge plot. Everyone also loves Cayde-6, a key character in the Destiny games. It's not much of a spoiler to say his life comes to a tragic end.

Simply put, Destiny 2 may feel like a lot of the same at times…but without all the nonsense from the original. It improves upon it's predecessor in every way conceivable and there's bound to be so much more content on the way that we won't know what to do with.

Positives + Mandatory integration of adventures into the story + Gambit is absolutely addictive + Loot rolls are more mysterious and often feel more rewarding

Negatives; Power level progression can be stunted based on drops; Poor communication will doom raid runs; Grinding still a potential turn off

Destiny 2 is not a complete overhaul of the original game, but rather an evolution to something much bigger and better than its predecessor. It improves in every way, including the story, varied content and gameplay.

Good story; Fleshed out characters; Lots of added content; Varied activities and events; Gunplay is absolutely sublime

Lootboxes; The odd connection issue; but nothing major; Crucible feels a bit barebones

Destiny 2 has never felt, looked, or been in a better spot than it is with Shadowkeep. This is not only the most accessible Destiny has ever been, but with the introduction of New Light, it is also more in-depth than ever with a new focus on hardcore players.
