Destiny 2 Review

Footage of Destiny 2 in action, showcasing just how great it looks HUD-less I am speaking to you from the future, so I don't even have time to explain what I don't have time to explain. Though the Destiny 2 servers have only just been switched on, I've already played what you're playing now.

Destiny 2 Review – Sweet, Precious Loot

During my first fortnight with the game, I've taken three characters through the game's story, slaved through countless Nightfalls, finished the raid twice and even managed to win a game in Trials of the Nine, the game's weekly PVP mode reserved for the most dedicated and sweatiest players.

"Perfection"

I received Destiny 2 in a Mighty Ape Package which was visually impressive. I also received a complimentary Destiny 2 Poster which was a nice little touch. I was able to track my item whenever I wished in order to see how close it was to being at my front door

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris

When Destiny first arrived, the space epic that was initially promised by developers Bungie proved to be a little sparse and repetitive. Those who stuck it out though were given more of the experience touted to them when the first expansion for Destiny, The Dark Below, made the universe of the...

Deepening of Destiny lore; Mechanics remain refined

Little in-game rewards; Gameplay repetitive

Destiny 2: Forsaken Review – PlayStation 4

Do you remember the first time you ever laid eyes on Uldren Sov's condescending visage all the way back in the original Destiny nearly four years ago While we may have not known his name back then anyone who's dove into the latest chapter of the Destiny franchise sure knows it now with the release...

Positives + Mandatory integration of adventures into the story + Gambit is absolutely addictive + Loot rolls are more mysterious and often feel more rewarding

Negatives; Power level progression can be stunted based on drops; Poor communication will doom raid runs; Grinding still a potential turn off

Destiny 2 review – the final verdict

GameCentral offers its final judgement on Bungie's blockbuster sequel, including all of the game's co-op and competitive modes.

Perfectly hewn gunplay and much wider range of things to see and do, especially in the open world maps; Streamlined upgrade path and excellent Strike and Raid design; Great graphics

The storytelling is still very basic, and the Crucible remains competent but far less distinctive than the rest of the game; Repetition will still get to you sooner or later

Destiny 2 Warmind Review - More Like Nevermind

I've tried to stay off this particularly vitriolic salt wagon, but I don't know if I've ever seen such a high production game repeatedly miss the mark in the way that Destiny 2 has.

It's better than Curse of Osiris; The campaign starts with an interesting premise

Campaign ends up being stale and is only the length of a longish feature film; Doesn't do anything to improve core gameplay; New post-game content requires a long grind; Shows that Bungie didn't listen to complaints about Curse of Osiris; Tags

Forsaken

Have been playing Destiny solo since day 1 have only given 3 stars because they have made upgrading weapons & armour very difficult and frustrating also the game is really for multiplayers not players like me l know a lot of players love the game but I will not be purchasing any dlc in the future.

Destiny 2 is not a complete overhaul of the original game, but rather an evolution to something much bigger and better than its predecessor. It improves in every way, including the story, varied content and gameplay.

Good story; Fleshed out characters; Lots of added content; Varied activities and events; Gunplay is absolutely sublime

Lootboxes; The odd connection issue; but nothing major; Crucible feels a bit barebones

Finally, a Destiny game that does a lot of what Bungie promised before the first title made its debut. Although many consider it just a slightly improved version of Destiny 1, I wouldn't put it that way.

Plenty of content to play after campaign story; Excellent co-op and competitive gameplay; There's an actual story in it; and a decent one; Clan system is a great tool to better approach end content; Improves on just about every aspect of gameplay from Destiny

No new alien races to shoot; Still not recommended for solo players
