Good turntable

I bought this to replace an old Dual I got for free. I haven't had it that long but I like it so far. It sounds great on my Technics receiver, the speed/pitch is accurate, and it's easy to use. The auto return works well. It doesn't have a lot of features but it does what I want it to.

Built in pre amp that can be switched off for receivers with phono inputs - Comes with a 45 adaptor

- Doesn't have a lever to manually raise the tone arm; you have to set it on the record with your finger if you don't use the auto start

Ok turntable with easy setup

I wanted an easy set up table so my son can hear some of my old records. It did the trick but I wish the sound was better and the arm could be adjusted.

Denon DP-29F Belt-drive turntable with cartridge

I traded down to this model from a higher-end Denon because my new receiver did not have a phono-in, and I didn't want to buy a phono amp or new receiver (again). I also wanted to archive some vinyl records.

Denon quality; no need for a phono amp or phono input, meaning you can plug it directly into a computer or other device (tape deck etc) to record direct from vinyl

Standard tonearm is a bit light and not adjustable, thus some imperfections on the vinyl may cause it to skip; taping a quarter to the top of the tonearm will help

Denon DP-29F Review

Denon DP-29F Review The Denon DP-29F is a good, inexpensive, basic turntable, with basic automatic controls. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to play their collection of vinyl LP's or 45's or transfer them to CD's.

Great sound; low price

hard to handle tonearm

NOT RECOMMENDED

I was totally surprised at how bad this turntable is considering it is a Denon product. Although I got it at a reduced price, it still was not worth what I paid. After assembling and connecting (connecting is problematic - see below), the turntable speed was excessive no matter what I tried.

It's not that useful of a product really

You have no way to play a specific track in this player. You have to listen to the whole Vinyl from start to end. And if you have got a collection of old Vinyls with even a minor scratch, those Vinyls won't get played on this one because it will always get stuck at the same point and you have no way...

Great for simple setup without consol/tuner

I use this with some nice powered computer speakers, I don't have space for a full on stereo consol. The RIAA preamp brings up the signal to line level with proper EQ curve to plug into anything and sound great ( regular phono output cannot do this ).

easy to set up

quick delivery, easy to set up, playing through my soundbar was no good as there was no volume so have to buy an amp but happy with it.
