Dell XPS 13 9350 review – Core i7-6560U configuration with Intel Iris 540 graphics

About a year ago, I got the opportunity to try out Dell's Broadwell XPS 13. In fact, Andrei also got it and still uses it today . I really liked it, but the unit I received had a few bugs in it, including a sluggish trackpad and poor screen brightness.

Superb build quality; Great screen with ultra small bezels; Small footprint; Powerful CPU and graphics in a small package

Trackpad a little jumpy; Unusual screen brightness fluctuations; Throttles due to TDP under heavy loads; Dell's size and battery specs misleading; Odd webcam placement

Dell XPS 13 9350 2016 (FHD, i7-6560U) Notebook Review

As we have already done four reviews on the Dell XPS 13 9350 with different configurations, it is not easy to add new discoveries in the verdict. Our test model with i7-6560U (Intel Iris Graphics) and matte FHD display from Dell's business shop primarily confirms already observed advantages and...

sturdy chassis; good build quality; Thunderbolt 3 support; fast SD card reader; good WiFi performance; good input devices; good performance; even on battery

touchpad very prone to fingerprints; CABC can not be controlled by users; device gets very hot under load

Dell XPS 13 Review (9350)

The Dell XPS 13 has been much talked about for its extraordinary compact size, for a 13-inch laptop, and the overall quality of its design and construction. It is a particularly good fit for business users, but consumers can also benefit from what it has to offer.

We loved last year's XPS 13 and were pleased that Dell took the refresh of this great computer seriously for the 6th Generation of Intel's processors. The addition of Thunderbolt 3 helps this new model feel ready for the future of USB-C based peripherals.

Good ultraportable, though not as great as it's hyped up to be

If you're not too concerned about battery life, the 4k screen is great, otherwise you may want to get the HD screen instead. Flaky wireless card performance made me give it 3 eggs instead of 4. If you have the option, order with the Intel wireless card, not the Dell one

Beautiful 4k touch screen great back-lit keyboard fast and responsive

poor battery life with 4k screen wireless card performance is flaky; sometimes will connect, other times card will not see any networks. (Mine has Dell's proprietary card, not an Intel one

I would have liked to give it five stars

I would have liked to give it five stars, if it wasn't for the inability to have wireless connection. I have wireless Bose ear phones and speakers, all of which work flawless on my Macbook Pro and on another windows machine I own. With this device I have spend many hours and tried to get it to work.

I really love the display

I really love the display. It's really gorgeous. The keyboard keys are very good and the track pad smooth. If you are really looking for a light, beautiful and well build laptop I recommend this one.

Dell XPS 13 9350 review: Power packed Windows ultrabook with a lovely display

Dell is one of the few trusted laptop brands that is known to produce quality products. It has always been a slightly premium in terms of pricing, but then the company has always had some really well made machines.

Dell XPS 13-9350 review: A stylish slimline business workhorse with all-day battery life

The low-power Core M processors that Intel released towards the end of 2014 allowed manufacturers to deliver laptops that were remarkably slim and light (not to mention expensive), such as Lenovo's Yoga 3 Pro and Apple's revamped MacBook.

Smaller than most 13-inch laptops; Weighs just 1.3kg; Sixth-gen Core i5 CPU delivers good performance; All-day battery life

Battery life falls short of Dell's 18-hour claim; Moderate 1,920x1,080 resolution on entry-level model; Thunderbolt 3 port requires adapters for HDMI/Ethernet
