Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 Review

3.5
Verdict: The XPS 15 2-in-1 looks like any other laptop in the XPS family . In fact, you may not be able to tell it apart from its older brother, the XPS 15. Outside of the new hinge, it has all the hallmarks of the XPS laptops we've come to know and love.
Pros: G-series chip provides great gaming performance, Exceptional build quality and design, One of the best laptop displays you can buy, Quick storage and processing, Good value for the hardware
Cons: New keyboard is just okay, Lackluster battery life in 4K model, Runs loud and hot

Dell XPS 15 Core i7-8750H 512GB 15.6in

3.8
Verdict: Our XPS 15 review unit was kitted out to the max with storage, as it includes a 1TB SK Hynix PC401 NVMe PCIe OEM drive. This SSD is fast without blowing me away, something like the Samsung PM981 we're seeing in a lot of other high-end laptops these days is noticeably faster in sequential reads and...
Pros: Excellent XPS build quality. Kaby Lake-G is an impressive chip (though not the fastest). 4K display option is fantastic
Cons: No USB-A or full-sized SD card slot. Unless you really need the convertible features, the XPS 15 offers more

Dell XPS 15 Review

4.5
Verdict: Productivity, multimedia and even a bit of gaming -- the Dell XPS 15 can do it all -- and do it well. For $1,549, you get a system that has an attractive, slim design that's bursting with power, including an Intel Core i7 processor and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Max-Q.

Dell XPS 15 Notebook Review

Dell XPS 15 review: as good as it gets from a 15-inch home or work laptop

5.0
Verdict: The Dell XPS 15 is a fantastic laptop and a no-brainer purchase for anyone who wants a laptop that lives primarily on a desk at home or in the office. It's cheaper and more highly specc'd than a MacBook Pro and makes far more sense to buy than something like a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 .
Pros: Incredible 4K screen, Very powerful, Tidy size for a 15-inch laptop
Cons: It loves fingerprints, Only two USB ports

Dell XPS 15

Verdict: How do you go about making the ultimate 15in Windows laptop For Dell, the formula turned out to be disarmingly simple: take the smaller XPS 13, make it bigger, add a discrete GPU and a gorgeous 4K display, and Bob's your uncle.
Pros: Premium look and feel, Stellar 4K InfinityEdge display, Core i7, SSD, DDR4 is a potent mix, GTX 960M has some gaming potential, Comfortable keyboard and trackpad, Keeps quiet during everyday use
Cons: Disappointing battery life, 4K upgrade is pricey, Webcam position not ideal

Dell XPS 15 Core i7-8750H 512GB 15.6in

Verdict: But what's most interesting about the upgrades is that the firm added an edge-to-edge 'Infinity edge' display to the XPS 15, fitting a 15.6in screen into the size of a typical 13in notebook, making what Dell claims is "smallest 15in laptop on the planet".

Dell XPS 15 (2017) review: Kaby Lake and a 4K display make a difference

Verdict: Dell's XPS 15 is proof that iterations-no matter how small-still matter. Externally, even owners of the previous XPS 15 would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between new and old.

The Latest Breed of 2-in-1s Have Finally Realized the Hybrid Dream

No reviews
Verdict: Even though they don't look much different than a lot of other hybrid laptops, the release of the Dell's XPS 15 2-in-1 and HP's Spectre x360 15 is an important moment for today's convertible PCs.
Pros: These 2-in-1s are good at almost everything
Cons: The Dell's webcam is in the wrong place; the HP has big bezels and its screen isn't as bright

Dell XPS 15 (2017) review: The best 15-inch laptop in its class

5.0
Verdict: In the last few years laptops have polarised. We see plenty of high-end gaming laptops that will give you back-ache if you carry them around for too long, and a lot of ultra-slim ones that trade away some power for portability.
Pros: Great build, Plenty of power, Decent battery life, Amazing display colour
Cons: But it's not all-day battery life

Dell XPS 15

Dell XPS 15 review: Solid performance with a 4K InfinityEdge display

4.7

Pros: Sleek design, Comfortable typing and palm rest, Stellar display, NVIDIA graphics card, Clear speakers, Great performance, Decent battery life
Cons: Speakers could be better on the bass end, Would be nice for a tent or tablet mode, Heavy glare when in bright lighting conditions

Dell XPS 15 review

4.0
Verdict: The Dell XPS 15 is one of the best laptops we have tested in a long time. It's hard to fault, as its weaknesses – such as the trackpad taking some getting used to and the chassis being prone to scratches – aren't too significant. The real caveat here, though, is the price.
Pros: Flawless performance, premium design, great keyboard
Cons: Price tag, chassis prone to scratches, not the most intuitive trackpad

Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 review: Plus-sized reversible greatness

5.0
Verdict: Dell has never shied away from Windows-powered greatness. In recent years alone the firm has delivered two bona-fide classics, the XPS 13 and the larger-screened XPS 15 alternative .
Pros: Best in class performance, Pixel-perfect 15in display, Well-priced
Cons: Maglev keyboard won't be to everybody's tastes

Dell XPS 15

4.2
Verdict: Consider the bezel. That humble landing strip of plastic or metal that frames the screen in almost every high-tech device. Televisions have largely done away with the the wide bezels of old, at least in mid-price and better sets, extending the screen nearly all the way to the very edge for a...
Pros: An eye-catching 15-inch 4K display in a nearly bezel-free frame, plus high-end processor and graphics options, all in a slim, professional-looking body
Cons: The better configurations can cost a lot, while the keyboard could be bigger and the touchpad has a floaty feel

Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 review

Verdict: Dell has been on a tear with its redesigns in 2018. On top of a daring overhaul on its flagship Ultrabook, the Dell XPS 13 , the Round Rock-based company has completely reinvented the Dell XPS 15 into a 2-in-1 laptop.
Pros: Impressive processing and graphical power on a single chip, Surprisingly tactile maglev keyboard, Ultra-thin design for a gaming-capable laptop
Cons: Radeon settings software needs a fix, Runs very loud during a heavy load, Little expensive

Horrible Support

Verdict: Don't buy this product (or any product) from Dell if you care about service and quality. I purchased 2 XPS laptops with 3-Year Next Business Day + Complete Care for this product. It took 7 weeks to get a keyboard fixed!
Pros: sleep and relatively powerful for footprint
Cons: if you have issues you may be without a laptop for a very long time

This is an overpriced garbage computer that won't last you a year

This laptop is powerful and has 16GB RAM and has handled everything that I have thrown at it. Superb machine.

Verdict: Well - been involved with computing since 1975. This is an awesome laptop - almost as powerful as my desktop - I wouldn't touch Apple with a barge pole now even though I first bought an Apple II in 1978. I hate that money grabbing company.
