Dell UltraSharp U3011
Against most of the competition Dell's newest monitor, the U3011, looks a suave, sophisticated individual. Where its rivals resemble huge lumpen monoliths on a desk, the Dell's squared-off edges and two-tone finish make it look worth every penny of its asking price.

Dell UltraSharp U3011 Review
Dell's 30-inch U3011 features an anti-glare hard coat to reduce reflections, and the 2560x1600 display tilts, swivels, and is height adjustable, but it can't pivot into portrait mode. The monitor is outfitted with two HDMI and two DVI ports, as well as one analog VGA and one DisplayPort input.
Pros:
- Great text reproduction
- vibrant colors
Cons:
- Small amount of moire
- no portrait mode

Dell Ultrasharp U3011 Monitor – Review
Monitors don't come much better than this, says, Juha Saarinen. Computer maker Dell has several S-IPS screens in its product range that are likely to appeal to picture people. The screens range from 22 to 30 inches diagonally, aren't priced too hair-raisingly high and provide very good performance...
Pros:
- Superlative image quality
- 10-bit colour panel
- Good price

I could go into glowing prose about the Dell monitor, but I opted for a short anecdotal review. You can read all about the specs and the features elsewhere. The real question is how does it compare to other monitors in real world use? The Dell u3011 is my third 30" monitor and the best of the bunch.
Pros:
- Big and bright
- lots of inputs and lots of tweaking control
Cons:
- Image scaler could be better
- Not an issue if you only run native resolution

Got one directly from Dell at a special price (1800 NZD) which is one of the best deals I have ever had :) I know if I would not get one, I will regret, and as expected this 30" IPS monitor just works great!

Dell Ultrasharp U3011 review
Dell's U3011 is still the ultimate desktop display, but perfection doesn't come cheap

Great monitor you'll really like if you can handle the price.
This is a spectacular monitor that will delight your eyes every day you use it. It's sometimes hard justifying the price of a 30 inch monitor with 27 inchers being so much cheaper but that extra screen area is nice when you're working on it everyday.
