Dell U2711
Dell U2711 has better "out-of-box" picture quality than 24-inch U2410 . Most colours are reproduced fairly accurate and the grey tones appear to be very accurate (which means that shadow detailing is good). Colour reproduction can be improved, though. Gamma is a bit too low.
Pros:
- Picture quality
- Functionality and inputs
- Ergonomic adjustability
- High resolution
- Shadow detail
- Viewing angles
- Blacks
Cons:
- Response time
- Price
- No pivot
- sRGB not as exact as on U2410
- Minor Overdrive trailing

- Deep blacks when watching movies
- Vibrant colours when playing games
- Robust on-screen display
- Plethora of connection options
Cons:
- No pivot option
- Very expensive

The last time I reviewed one of Dell's UltraSharp monitors, the 2408WFP ($689.00 Direct, ), I was wowed by its solid performance and robust feature set. Despite the relatively high price, it merited an Editors' Choice award.

- Very good color and light grayscale performance
- Lots of A/V ports and multimedia features
- Wide viewing angle
- High res screen
Cons:
- Pricey
- Some trouble displaying dark grays
- No pivot adjustment

We start our new Quick Reviews in style with a sensational looking 27" monitor from Dell. Looks can be deceiving, though. But are they in this case?

Dell UltraSharp U2711 LCD Monitor Review
Dell's UltraSharp U2711 is one of the best performing monitors we've seen; but at $1,049, its price will be prohibitive to some buyers. However, the U2711 earns its high price with incredible performance, a plethora of connection options, and the monitor's piece de resistance, its 2,560×1,440-pixel...

Dell UltraSharp U2711 review
The screen uses an IPS panel (In-plane Switching) that can display colours better than most others, including Dell 's older 27-inch model the U2709W. In keeping with the current trend, the Dell UltraSharp U2711 features a 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratio for movies, but the big deal here is its screen...

Dell UltraSharp U2711
The Dell UltraSharp U2711 is one of the new breed of high-resolution 16:9 ratio displays to hit the market. With a high-quality IPS panel, a huge 2,560 x 1,440 resolution, and an equally hefty price tag, the U2711 is a high-end monitor to aspire to.
