Dead Space 3 PS3 Review

Much has changed since Isaac Clarke narrowly escaped after destroying his second marker in Dead Space 2 , earning him the title of ‘Marker Killer', and pretty much pinning a giant target on his head for the Unitologists everywhere.

I'm a fan of Dead Space. It's the best survival-horror I ever played. Everything there fits nearly perfect. I didn't believe that DS2 would be scary, I thought it'll be a stupid shooter. Well I was wrong. For that time. And now DS3. The example how money greed make a great franchise die.

"More of the same."

I haven't played it all the way through but so far it seems identical to the previous games if you're playing it alone. No companion in single player. These games depend heavily on scares and atmosphere.

IS IT STILL DEADSPACE

This is a good game don't pass it up. Play it and use your own mind to decide if its good or not.

This game felt more like the original dead space to me than the second installment in the trilogy; People tend to harp on the co-op or the ice planet; The co-op is optional and the ice planet is not what you expect.

I feel that people are not giving the game a chance; I couldn't find anything wrong with the game; I'm the type of person that plays the games that get the worst reviews just so i know what a true bad game feels like; Dead Space 3 is amazing

Truly Amazing!!!

I love the new weapon crafting system it gives you an edge in the game. The graphics are outstanding. It isn't as scary as the first 2 but then again we have been seeing the same Necromorphs for the past 5 years there are new ones but you get the idea so I really don't think it would be scary for...

REVIEW: Dead Space 3 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)

Gaming's unluckiest engineer straps on his space suit once more as Isaac Clarke again heads off to face the necromorph onslaught in Dead Space 3. It's got atmosphere by the bucket load, but can Dead Space 3 overcome a series of missteps to still deliver the goods? Read our full review to find out!

Test Dead Space 3

Dead Space 3

Trying to think cautiously on this, but I'm still not 100% certain at which point Dead Space started focusing more emphasis on action and less on survival horror elements. Visceral Games' original Dead Space succeeded in blending both genres, which also came across in the second installment.

This game shines as a co-op shooter; some interesting boss encounters; there are a few brilliantly designed locations in this game; there's a lot of cool stuff to unlock; great cinematic ambience

The backtracking and elevator rides; as DS fans we can't deny that this is the weakest entry in the series; be it co-op or single-player it appears that any magic the series had is now lost in the murky and crowded waters of generic action games

Dead Space 3 review

It's hard to fault Dead Space 3 overall, because it offers so much for so many different types of gamer. The microtransactions present an interesting dilemma for the industry and consumers, but the game does a great job of balancing these out with superb gameplay pacing and difficulty settings that...

+ An all-round explosive; fun experience; + Great weapon crafting feature; + Difficulty settings make it more about survival; + Co-op is a great addition

- Story is unbalanced; boring; - Complicated crafting seems to force microtransactions; - Gets a little too repetitive near the end
