Dead Rising 4 Review – Uninspired, Mindless Fun

Dead Rising 4 is a silly Christmas game. It's like one of those straight to video films you'd see at your local rental store right around this time of year, fun while it lasts but not really something you'll be thinking about too much, or coming back to later on.

The foul-mouthed, wise-cracking Frank West (Hank East) is back for another round of "Who's conspiracy is this anyway?" co-staring the zombie apocalypse crew and they brought their new friends, the Fresh and the Evo. So, sit up, get customising, aaaand LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!

Lots of customization | Great fun | Hordes of enemies | Oodles of wisecracking dialogue

Gameplay is sketchy | AI seems lost at times

Dead Rising 4 Review: A gore-filled wonderland

In recent years, I've felt like the zombie-theme has been played out a bit, with a plethora of television series, films and of course games. In one brilliant swoop, Dead Rising 4, developed by Capcom Vancouver and published by Microsoft Studios for Xbox One and PC has changed my mind completely.

A good game.

Despite the game having a lot of glitches, this is a great game. True to the Dead Rising theme, this is a very gory and fun mindless destruction game. The story mode is short but it leaves open a lot of time to explore the general world.

Killing Zombies Shouldn't Be This Much Fun

I picked up the first Dead Rising game (for me, Dead Rising 2) for the XBOX 360. The idea was hilarious. I wasn't a fan of the timed activities, but there was more than enough to do and the boss battles were both crazy and tough.

Dead Rising 4 PC Review

I remember Capcom's Dead Rising being one of the first big games to hit the Xbox 360 in September 2006 after the system's large release drought earlier that year. It arrived on scene with a splash, showcasing the power of the Xbox 360's ability to render hundreds of zombies on screen at once, while...

What a wonderful game:

As many adults you want the best for your kids. When I looked over this game I noticed the language was full bars. I was nervous when I saw this. I didn't want my son to hear the F word a lot. I gave him a chance to play the game but I would have to see if the language was going to bother me.

Dead Rising 4 Review (Xbox One)

What to smash, what to blow up, what to kill?! Those are the questions you will find yourself asking when playing Dead Rising 4. Dead Rising 4 is an open-world zombie game centered on Frank West investigating another zombie outbreak in Willamette, Colorado where the first Dead Rising took place.

Hack and slash gameplay is fast-paced and fun; Frank West is still pretty funny; great art direction

Much easier than before; camera grading system makes taking pictures more repetitive than fun
