Las Vegas with Zombies

For a game that is now 6 years old, i can honestly say it still manages to be current. I like the idea of everything being a weapon even things like ketchup bottles. I wish that other Dead Rising games were available on the PS3, unfortunately if i want to play any other i will have to opt for an...

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record review

Capcom's attempt to repackage Dead Rising 2 falls short in a number of regards, and should realistically only be considered by those who haven't invested in the series thus far.

Loads of weapons and combinations thereof; good story; vibrant environments

Combat is still extremely limited; controls are sluggish

"Good idea, fairly poorly executed."

Sooo many zombies, and they are so terribly slow and useless. It's fun and funny for a while, but you can only punch or hack apart so many zombies before it gets repetitive and frankly boring.

Dead Rising 2 is rated M for Mature with ESRB descriptors of Sexual Themes, Partial Nudity, Blood and Gore, Use of Alcohol, Intense Violence, and Language. You do mow down zombies (literally) with a variety of crazy weapons, and there is lots of blood splattered.

Dead Rising 2

Can you survive and save your daughter Experience six different endings. Scavenge around the casino town of Fortune City for medicine and weapons. No shortage of zombies to deal with. Unique and hilarious combinations of weapons to make zombie killing fun.

Weapon combinations – Open world gameplay – Multiple endings

Ultimately a very similar experience to the first

Dead Rising 2

So it was with no small amount of trepidation that I fired up Dead Rising 2, the sequel to Capcom's promising-but-flawed early Xbox 360...

It's still a tense experience; but now also more forgiving; The combo weapon system is hilarious and addictive; Mulching zombies never; ever gets dull

The boss fights are inexcusable; The presentation is a bit last-gen in places; One or two auto-saves wouldn't have been uncharitable

Dead Rising 2 Review

Spray can + Traffic pylon = Zombie-brain-busting air horn. Leafblower + Diamonds = Gem-blower. Don't forget old faithful, either: the box o' nails plus the baseball bat. Of course, if you didn't know that already, you should have paid more attention in math class, because Dead Rising 2 has filled...

Fortune City; a huge; varied playground; Combining weapons makes zombie-killing fun; Story missions are challenging; satisfying; Entertaining; humorously helpless survivors; ...but the single player trumps it

Dead Rising 2 Review

From the arcade smash hit House Of The Dead to the quintessential gaming experience of the Resident Evil series, zombies have successfully embraced the video game world over the years and provided us with a level of violence that has become the norm. After all zombies aren't real, are they

PS3 Review – Dead Rising 2

The first Dead Rising was released in 2006, back when the current zombie apocalypse fad was in the midst of taking off. But there was something that set this undead slayer apart from the rest of the groaning, brain-nibbling pack; and Capcom knew it.

Fun; and addictive gameplay; Riddled with flaws such as graphical setbacks; Multiplayer mode adds breadth to the game
