Just a toy !!
I've used several other brand coffee machines over the years - this one is rubbish. you can't fit a normal cup under the group head, the coffee isn't hot, the coffee has no crema, when you want to empty the group head of the coffee grinds it fulls out. I paid NZ$250 for it, it not worth $150!

Not a good choice for the espresso's lovers
I am afraid, after much searching, a poor outcome. Perhaps, one of the compelling oros of Nespresso is that you can try it first. I was not given the chance in this case and, ok, I bought the item, but it is not going to happen again.

great espresso machine
I would definitely recommend this machine if you are looking for a beginner machine, makes some really good shots and good foamy milk
Pros:

- great shots with creme
- great steam wand
- easy to clean
Cons:
- loud

Pretty but, not that great
I bought this for myself for Christmas, loved the color and the name behind the product and it was on sale, figured, can't go wrong. Wrong... followed the instructions for 3 tries, different days, the coffee is never hot enough. My tap water is hotter.

Rattles
We've had 4 or 5 De'Longhi expresso machines over the years. All previous ones have been very good. This De'Longhi machine rattles/vibrates a lot due to some form of a faulty design.

Makes excellent coffee but -----!
The design is very attractive. The coffee that it makes(both espresso and cappuccino)is excellent, provided you buy a decent coffee of course. The noise(and sometimes vibration)is a bit disturbing, especially in the morning when you really would like to start the day in a peaceful way(yes, I know!

Very noisy - every rattles, weak coffee due to small basket - waste of money.

A fantastic machine at a great price, coupled with funky looks!
I picked up the Icona from John Lewis in Stratford just before Xmas 2012, at a reduced price of ￡120 (RRP is ￡190 according to the Delonghi site). I'd been after a coffee machine for a while, and had considered the Nespresso and Tassimo alternatives, but loved the idea of fresh ground coffee.

Didn't last even two months!
This is the second machine I've bought from DeLonghi and the second to not work after just a short period of time so I am not at all impressed! The first I bought was the combination to make a regular pot of coffee and espresso machine.

Much sought after machine
Had set my mind on getting coffee machine,but very difficult to get hold of a red one. Managed to track one down in Oxfordshire in the end. Worth the drive over to get exactly what I wanted. Am very pleased with my purchase,easy to use and makes a fab coffee.
