Found out it was discontinued just after I bought two of them. The software is awful. Does the basic job as a NAS. I am unlikely to install the second one.

Five Stars
Excellent! Easy setup, nice looking simple unit, no hassle. This is ideal for a home cloud network.

great
Great product, easy to set, I can access it from my phone And from other pc's It's a great way to share stuff with the household. The only thing I hated about was, I had to format my hard drive, my hard drive was my media hard drive from my pc, so I had to back it up :-( My upload speed is around 8...
Pros:
- access your very own cloud anywhere
Cons:
- you have to buy hard drives
- plus you have to format the hard drives 4 use

D-Link worst NAS ever, stay away from them and this product
I work in Tech Support, so I know what I am doing in IT and this product is absolute garbage. I tried to setup in a RAID1 format and I cannot copy large amounts of data. D-Link wants to troubleshoot everything before replacing even though the issue is obviously with the manufacturing and keeps...

Excellent product if you know what you're doing.
Returned after installing the Raid 1 configuration and loading all my data for save keeping, I pulled out a hard drive and attempted to retrieve my data.(worst case scenario) I then discovered most NAS units run on a Linux OS.

Have you ever had a situation where you need to share a few large files between a PC and a Mac across the home network? If the answer to this question is "No" then count yourself lucky! It is truly one of the most headache-inducing tasks I have tried to do recently.

Generally OK.
Like several other types of home clouds, the system falls down on backing up lots of small files, eg an .epub library. Having said that, it's easy to use, and definitely better than the WD Cloud which I bought previously, and which was useless.

Affordable and useful but painfully loud
The price point is right on; however, don't rely on this unit for much more than media streaming and occasional remote access.
Pros:
- Easy on the wallet
- easy to set up and comes with simple and useful utilities
Cons:
- Slow- slow to come out of sleep mode, slow to transfer files
- Loud- the fan in this thing hums way louder than my desktop PC

I had the DNS-320 drive for over 1 year since Boxing Week of 2012. It has been running very well. The reason I bought it because I had the DNS-325 which was a tad slower but has the same features as the DNS-320.
Pros:
- Does the job as a NAS to have RAID 0 running on two drives
Cons:
- Processor is slow
- so the data transfer is less than 20MB/s out of the drive
