When we tested D-Link's AC3200 Ultra Wi-Fi Router (DIR-890L/R) last year, its speedy throughput scores, intuitive management settings, and edgy design earned the router our Editors' Choice nod.
Excellent 5GHz and Multi-User Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) throughput; Fast file-transfer speeds; Unique design; Highly configurable; Attractive design
Expensive; Large footprint
Easily one of the best all-rounder on the market in terms of performance. The price for it is steep, but can be well worth it if you need features like the iQoS and MU-MIMO.
Very fast internal transfers speeds; Useful features

The D-Link DIR-895L, an AC5300 MU-MIMO Ultra Wi-Fi router, has now been released as the successor to the DIR-890 which was a AC3200 based wireless router. Similar in design to their Taipan, the DIR-895L has 2 additional antennas (total of 8) and comes in a glossy red colour.
D-Link's latest Wi-Fi Router, the DIR-895L is like mana from heaven that gives users an impressive wireless speed of up to 5,332Mbps (combined) thanks a wealth of features such as its 4×4 data streams, beamforming and MU-MIMO technology for lag free wireless throughout your home or office.
I bought this router after moving into a new house and realising that the supplied wireless modem would not reach throughout the house. I wanted to stream video or audio while working on iPad or laptop and not carve into my walls. The reviews looked good, so bought it online.
