The DHP-601AV from D-Link offers up 600Mbps of Powerline connectivity. Read on as we explore the performance and work out if it's worth buying or not.

Worked really well for me

I guess I am lucky and the wiring in my building is good. These adapters paired up painlessly and I cannot find a workload to max them out - I use them to connect two Wi-Fi end-points and when I test file transfers I hit Wi-Fi limit first.

Ease of installation; reliability; low latency; speed

Not sure..; it would be nice if they were smaller

Works as advertised. Using it to connect our son's PS4 upstairs, our router is down stairs.. Took a while to get connected, about 10 tries of rebooting. Definitely slows down speed, averages around 25Mbps versus 65Mbps when Wi-Fi has stable connection. However, much more stable than wifi signal.

Very impressed with this product. Setup devices on the same electrical circuit then moved them onto separate ones. Still almost hitting max ISP download speed of 55 Mbps. Circuits are a mix of copper, aluminium, and an old breaker box. Works very well!

easy to install; fast

Very stable. Fairly constant ~20ms ping which is more than the ~12ms ping I used to get with the wi-fi adapter, but that thing would randomly spike to >1500ms which this does not do, so no complaints.

D-Link DHP-601AV HomePlug Ethernet adapter review: On par price and performance

D-Link's first HomePlug AV2 adapters are somewhat large--about the size of a deck of cards--but its two prongs are placed so that when plugged into an outlet, the second outlet should be available to standard-sized plugs.

It works... slowly

The speed is a big improvement over powerline adapters i have used in the past but no where near as good as advertised. they may still work for my needs but still a bit disappointed.

Easy setup

speed! Tried every possible configuration tested with iperf & the fastes I could get was both devices plugged into the same wall outlet @ 233Mbps moving to the next outlet drops to 212Mbps from the main floor to the second floor trying every plug the fastest I get is 58Mbps

Works Great!

Following the instructions carefully I was able to get LAN internet speeds even in an remote room that didnt receive a wireless signal. I suggest using an internet speed test to find the best electrical outlet.
