Works great
You don't need anything more expensive than this item. Works great, no noticeable loss of single strength.

Was a good, solid switch.
I purchased this switch about 7 years ago from who knows where It was used in a business setting running about 16 different devices. It was a solid switch up until about a month ago, when the fan started failing, causing the unit to overheat and connections to fail.

A reliable and fast switch
It is what it is, and that's a very inexpensive way to get good network perfromance at a low level of tech training.
Pros:
- Sold and installed in three sites over the last 10 months or so, run great
- Connected Servers with 1GB/s NIC to 1 10/100/1000 port, used the other to cascade, PC's were all 10/100 anyway.

Decent product. Pricing is not bad however I have seen products by other manufacturers with comprable features at lower prices. I would recommend it however because I have never had a single problem out of a D-Link unit.
