Only Good for Three Months

It worked fine for a couple of months, then I was unable to connect to it via WiFi. I connected it via Ethernet to try setup again, but that only worked for a short time. Now I can see that it connects to my router, but it down't have an IP address. Would not buy again.

Works as advertised

Purchased for home security monitoring while away. Camera's do not like to work with the Verizon Fios email system, but creating a quick gmail account worked great. Takes a little work getting the cameras (mulitiple purchased) all up and running on the Mydlink site, but well worth it once all was...

D-Link Wireless N Home Camera DCS-930L review

While some webcams offer basic motion detection, they need to be plugged into your PC, which must be kept switched on when you're out. This surveillance might reassure you, but the resulting electricity bills won't.

D-LINK DCS-930L mydlink Wireless-N Network Camera

Mains plug contained an adapter for UK 13 amp socket connection. This could be a problem if you don't have much room beneath the socket. Minimum 45mm required beneath socket.
Pros:
  • As expected
Cons:
  • 13 amp adapter included but.

Great Network camera with easy setup for the LAN, but I have tried at least 6 times to get my Verizon router to let the video go out to the WWW, with no luck. Port Forwarding is VERY difficult and confusing on Verizon FIOS.

Love the camera but wireless a hassle

If I wanted to run the camera attached to my router, it would have been a snap to do. However, I needed it to run wirelessly. I contacted Dlink and their support person had me do a firmware update and get their latest install wizard from their website. It took time, but I got it working.
Pros:
  • Compact
  • Inexpensive
  • Security
  • Web Viewable
Cons:
  • Mic Too Sensitive
  • Wireless Setup A Hassle

D-Link DCS-930L mydlink-enabled Wireless N Network Camera

Ease of use with this camera is really going to come down to how you want to set it up, the type of hardware and software you like to use, and your own experience. For a basic setup, it should be quite simple and the administrator control panel is quite easy to use.

"its a wifi cam"

well.... its a good entry-level wifi cam in white. Nothing earth shattering about this one. Its an 'entry level' device, not the cadi. If you want night vision and sound etc. this is not your device, but picture quality is solid and its easy enough to set-up by way of included instructions.
