D-Link HD Mini Bullet Outdoor IP Camera (DCS-7010L)

Verdict: Sharp day and night video and a durable weatherproof housing make D-Link's HD Mini Bullet Outdoor IP Camera a good choice for outdoor surveillance in any environment. You don't get online storage with this camera, and Wi-Fi support would be nice considering its lofty price.
Pros: Rugged housing. Sharp day and night video quality. Motion detection and email alerts. SD card slot
Cons: No Wi-Fi. Expensive. No online storage

Great other than the fact it craps out at -5°C

Verdict: Like the other guy said, works great until it starts getting cold outside. I've done a lot of trouble shooting and without fail as soon as the camera warms up inside its fine. But hook it up outside and within a hour or two the camera becomes unresponsive and the switch lists 'other fault' in the...

Local Viewing, Sort of...

Verdict: The requirement for the cameras to access DLink's servers even if the end-user desires to use them in stand-alone (no Internet connection) mode, seems a bit intrusive and unnecessary, to say the least.
Pros: Camera is easy to set up in a local-only mode. IR quality is good. Viewable from browser (tested Firefox and IE), and from 1 of the Android Apps (MyDlink Lite)...see below for problems with other apps. Gave it two eggs for limited usability
Cons: Summary of two major problems: 1. The DCS-7010L auto-installer seems to have major (insurmountable for me) problems (as compared to the DCS-932L). 2. The MyDlink+ Android app, useful for viewing more than one camera at a time, and taking snapshots, won't work if a camera cannot complete the...

Excellent quality camera

Verdict: I bought this camera to augment an existing suite of DCS-7110 cameras. The older 7110 cameras cost about twice as much as this newer version. This particular camera looks down my driveway.

Poor wiring design for outdoor wall installation

Verdict: The camera was well built and design. However, the thought into the wiring harness is extremely poor. The camera is advertised to work outdoor. Most houses I know are brick and the wiring harness requires a big hole to fish the wiring through.
Pros: built construction is good
Cons: poor wiring harness design for fishing through wal

Good Quality Images

Verdict: This camera captures good high def images and video. When used as wireless cameras connected to wifi devices they use a pretty good amount of bandwidth. If connecting 3 or more of these to be used in a wireless system you will notice a slow down in performance of your wifi.

Better night vision that the dcs-2332l

Verdict: Better night vision than the dcs-2332l, but no built in microphone. Supplied with an Euro plug which is useless in uk, however I used the power over Ethernet feature, otherwise it would be getting returned!

Nice camera, as long as it keeps working
