I bought about 10 of those cams for a client you wanted wireless security cameras. To be honest, they work better than I thought; normally I stay away from Dlink products because I had a couple of bad experience with them, but those cams seems to be the exception.

Camera doesn't deliver and doesn't work well
I bought this camera to be able to monitor the main floor, waiting area and work areas at my shop and am finding myself having to call Dlink support at least a couple of times a week for troubleshooting and support. Each phone call ends up being at least an hour and sometimes nothing gets solved.

Pleasantly Surprised
POSITIVES: Ever since it has been moved closer to the router I've had no problem from hotel or tethered 4GLTE internet connecting and checking on the house while away these past few weeks. Its been rock solid reliable! Very impressed, none of that dropping connection every day.

- *Decent Picture Quality *Cool Features - motion detection & email notification - voice chat / audio (talk to your animals / hear room) *Access from anywhere with internet proved to work well
Cons:
- *Picture Quality - 720p max - No 1080 - grainy anyway *No Power on off button *Will not allow manual network setup - must use WPS *Low Wireless connectivity range *Bit of a hassle to setup Online *Why does mine say the date is 4/2/2013 & why can't I change that?

Effortless
Easy to setup and seems reliable, it's been recording on movement for about 3 months now and has never failed. Image quality is a definite improvement on the cheaper lower res cameras.

Really easy to set-up (<5mins)
Second D-Link camera and was not disapppointed. Really easy to set-up (<5mins), great picture and flexibility of viewing via the app and website amazing. Next job is to link up to Synology NAS for recording so fingers crossed that's as straightforward but I'm prepared to battle a little.

Good price, nice software and fast delivery. Software works fine locally and remotely without much setup.
