Works great once setup correctly
Purchased DAP-1360 to extend the range of D-link 655 router. I have the router in the basement, but have poor or no signal on the 3 level upstairs. The extender has great range setup in the AP mode (connected directly to my router through Cat5 cable).

good unit, very easy to set up even in a multi AP enviornoment
I use this unit as an access point in an office that has lead lined walls from the previous tenants of the building and it works great. Setup was a snap with the wizard to set up the unit you want, in my case a wired to wireless access point, and then you just go in and set the other things you...

A pain to set up, but works great
After finishing the wizard the log in screen no longer worked so if I didn't nail the config on the first try, I had to do a factory reset to try the set up wizard again, after which point the admin log in refused to work again.
Pros:
- This router works very well if you can get it to work
- Using as a standard router, it will work as expected
Cons:
- The documentation is practically useless for those using repeater mode
- One gets the feeling that D-Link cut and pasted most of the info in the manual.

Like magic!
The D-Link DAP-1360 802.11n Wireless N Range Extender was easy to install - just follow directions. Our PS3 is located 50' away from out D-link router and behind 2 walls causing signal to be dropped several times during a movie.

Good idea, poor implementation
Pros: It's far more versatile than most wireless access points. It can be an access point, a repeater, or a wireless client that can enable non-wireless network devices connect to a wireless network.

D-Link DAP-1360 review
Although on the face of it the D-Link DAP-1360 is an 802.11n wireless access point that you can connect to a wired Ethernet network for WiFi access, it's also designed to help solve the perennial problem of wireless networking: range. To this end, it has two additional modes.
