D-Link Boxee Box
It has taken almost a year to reach the market, but this most peculiarly designed media player has been well worth the wait.
Different than Roku,better than AppleTV
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend- Easy To Setup
- Fast
- Takes time to build favs
A great product to bring all your media together. No more changing DVD's for me!
I purchased this a few months ago then ripped my entire DVD collection onto a Nasbox. The boxee box connects to my TV through a HDMI cable. After connecting and signing into Boxee using ethernet or Wi-Fi you can download a update from the setting screen, didn't seem to do it automatically.
Review: D-Link Boxee Box
In my never ending quest to find the best way to share all my media in my house, I have tried just about everything. I finally settled on using stand alone PCs hooked up to each TV for playing shared media because this offers the most options, but it is also the most expensive.
D-Link Boxee Box Review
The Boxee Box is a part HD media player and part HD media streamer. As one device, it attempts to do the best of what the WD Live HD media player series does and what the Apple TV does. And does so looking very unique.- Very good HD playback
- with the filters correctly set up
- Boxee Media Manager app is easy to set up
- Unique design
- Remote has a complete keypad on one side
- A couple of filters make video noisy
- if turned on
- UI feels dated
- You get a WD Live Hub with a 1TB drive for slightly less cash
- Quite a few apps don't work in India
D-Link Boxee Box DSM-380 review
The Boxee is a network media player done right with one or two caveats. In contrast to the rough efforts of many if its competitors D-Link has built a great-looking device that provides an elegant experience for both local and internet media playback.- Plays everything smooth interface excellent library features excellent remote
- It can be very slow to load libraries and apps
D-Link DSM-380 Boxee Box HD Media Player
Plays lots of video formats, interface is pretty slick Rapidly forward only does 30 seconds at time. Iow, unusable.Couldn't even login on initial power on, had to flash firmware for that (networking was working but the software thought it wasn't.
D-Link Boxee Box review
It supports tons of file formats and has access to hundreds of online services, making the best media streamer we've seen.
