D-Link Boxee Box review Review
The D-Link Boxee Box media streamer has major networking problems and, although we've been promised a solution in new firmware, we can't comment on this until the company releases the update.
Pros:
- Unique styling
- Massive potential
- Access to Internet services
Cons:
- Networking is very unreliable
- Local content is sidelined for Internet video
- Annoying remote
- BBC iPlayer is a little disappointing
- Confusing user interface

D-Link Boxee Box review
We'll tell you the truth – we were really looking forward to seeing the D-Link Boxee Box. A previous demo we'd seen was definitely favourable, while in terms of style and power we were looking forward to something that could better the recently-revamped Apple TV.

Review: DLink Boxee Box
Every day, 3.2 gajigabytes of streaming video are delivered straight to the screens of slackers like you and me, sitting at our desks at work and gawping at classic outtakes from The Muppet Show in 1979 , re-creations of news events by creative Taiwanese animators , and adorably cute animal babies.
Pros:
- Promise of easy-to-access internet video
- Works with a wide range of video services, including Netflix and Vudu
- "Watch later" button lets you time-shift YouTube videos from work to home
Cons:
- Quirky interface
- Some TV shows appear in the menu, but won't actually play
- Much of the web's video actually looks really terrible when blown up on a big HDTV

D-Link Boxee Box
The recent revamp of the £99 Apple TV looked like the perfect media-streaming device – except Apple unforgivably forgot to permit enough content into its walled garden to make its box of delights worthwhile.
