The improvements of a solid state drive over a traditional hard drive, in our opinion, are nothing short of astounding.
Sleek design; Excellent incompressible data results; Great value; Massive storage capacity
Not the fastest on the market

Today we have in our labs the latest SSD offering by Crucial, the Crucial M500 series. Announced earlier this year at CES, it is the world's first SSD series to use Micron's new 128Gbit MLC NAND die.
The SSDs that comprise Crucial's new M500 range come in a variety of capacities, from a relatively low 128GB to a large 960GB, but each SSD uses the SATA3 interface, a Marvell 88SS9187 controller and 20nm Micron MLC NAND flash chips.
Replaced the internal HDD on macbook pro with this SSD, best investment possible ever. Boot time is dramatically reduced and system is a lot more responsive.
Affordable; Much Faster Than Hdd
Write Speed Not Fastest
Installed into a Gigabye Brix micro PC that required an MSATA drive - took seconds to install into the motherboard and the Windows 7 install was very fast too. So far so good but having had a couple of Samsung SSD drives I knew what to expect and wasn't disapointed with this Crucial drive.
Let me introduce myself. I am a huge computer nerd. I have been dismantling computers from the age of 16, back when I got my first AMD K6 PC. After a week my Windows 98SE packed in, and because I had no money to pay a professional to fix it, I did the unthinkable and started tinkering with it...
Bought this drive for a new Z97 i5 Windows 7PC I was building. Wow - windows boots in no time, login is immediate - no waiting for anything. I haven't benchmarked it yet, but so easy to install and so fast compared to a HDD. If 120GB is big enough for you I don't think you'll be disappointed.
At CES 2013 Crucial announced the release of their new M500 series SSDs. This new model was meant to replace the aging M4 series and push the SSD industry towards a more budget friendly direction.
My Macbook pro 2010 was in need of an update. After putting this in, I'm pleased with how quickly the computer and programs boot up. It wasn't what I wanted at first, I was looking at an even faster Crucial product, but this was on-sale so I gave it a try. Glad I did!
My choosing to buy the Crucial 960GB Solid State Drive took a lot of SSD homework research in my comparing and purchasing this Crucial high-end SSD over the narrowly competitive Samsung 840 EVO 1TB.
