Killer add-on for newer ultrabooks

Incredible performance. I plugged this into my Ultrabook which now just flies along on Windows 8. The transfer speeds are incredible and the laptop boots up in under 10 seconds.

Nice product, nice price.

Bought this for my 2009 27" iMac, seemed a good replacement for the 1TB built in spinner. Had no trouble from it so far, speed improvement is fantastic. Tried putting an SSD into a MacBook previously and the MacBook wouldn't take it, so very happy that this worked first time.

The Crucial/Micron M500 Review (960GB, 480GB, 240GB, 120GB)

"Great budget SSD"

Introduction I decided to purchase this SSD to replace the HDD in my laptop around 6 months ago. It is a decision I do not regret one bit. I have experienced pretty much instant loading times, improved battery life, and a reduction in system temperature since the switch, and it has certainly...

Cheap compared to competitors; low power consumption; low operating temperature

Still expensive compared to HDDs

Crucial M500 SSD Review

The Crucial M500 (and the OEM-tailored Micron M500 ) are a new mainstream SSD family that offers a SATA 6Gb/s interface, Marvell controller, 7mm drive height and Micron's latest 20nm MLC NAND.

Highest capacity of any mainstream consumer SSD; Very attractive pricing; sub $600 for 960GB; Excellent performance/cost ratio

Corsair Neutron GTX; Intel SSD 520; Samsung SSD 840 Pro; Plextor PX-M5S; Crucial m4; OCZ Vector; Highest capacity of any mainstream consumer SSD; Very attractive pricing; sub $600 for 960GB; Excellent performance/cost ratio; Weaker performance than other mainstream SSDs

Crucial M500 SSD review

Crucial has returned to the hit list of must-have SSDs with its M500. Not because it's the fastest but because it has great multi-platform PC support, a good balance of large- and small-file transfer speeds, and an attractive price without relying on slower performance three-layer cell (TLC) flash...
