A Nostalgic Blend of New and Old

I bought this game at launch via pre-order and I've been playing it nearly non stop ever since. The game is gorgeous with fresh new explorable vistas to discover with the new cartoonish art style helping these locations pop. The game runs and feels beautifully, running at a surprisingly consistent 4K 60fps on a PS4 Pro. The game also feels very nice to control, with many problems from the n.sane trilogy being thoughtfully fleshed out and removed from the game. The game is also nice and floaty, allowing for consistent landing from your jumps and allows for much more platforming challenges. Suffice to say, I extremely recommend this game to any veteran of platformers or anyone who is up for a challenging game.

Fresh Twist on Nostalgia

Bought this on release day and have played a fair bit of it. It is nice to play new levels of such a beloved game, but something about the way the levels end or the story feels off compared to the beloved trilogy. Still a decent game and a worthy sequel.

A Fantastic Return To Form

Easily the best CB since his SONY exclusive days - CTR and the Crash Trilogy. The new spin on the design is a welcome one also :D As I enjoyed the original 3 as a young child now my son is now enjoying the N Sane Trilogy and Crash 4 :)

Classic reboot + some new game modes & mechanics

I played the original in '96, and worked HARD to get every single gem, for 100% completion. I was worried that they would muck-up a classic - but CB4 is like a reboot + tribute - the best parts of the original, and sequels - with some new game mechanics that are awesome. And the graphics are incredible. I've been playing play+pass mode with my 11 yo (on death or checkpoint) - has been heaps of fun. There are 43 levels - and - can play in FLIP mode afterwards. And then time attack mode. This is the best CB game in the series - fantastic game...!

Best Crash game yet

Excellent progression of gameplay from the first 3 games, It may take a while to get used to the controls, not that they're bad, but just a little different to muscle memory from the N.sane trilogy especially. an improvement imo
