Corsair Strafe Gaming Keyboard

Corsair's newest mechanical keyboard is dubbed the Strafe and features per-key back lighting, among other tricks. It is equipped with Cherry MX-switches and is supported by the Corsair CUE driver suite. At US$109, this is one feature-packed keyboard for the price.

Price for the features on offer; Build quality; Bundle; Light show capability; Driver performance; Cherry MX key selection; USB plug

Still a bit costly; Light show feature not for all; A bit on the noisy side

A handsome frame, excellent switches, first-rate software, and a low price make the Strafe an excellent entry-level buy for mechanical-keyboard first-timers.

Genuine Cherry MX switches; Aggressively priced for a mechanical keyboard; Well-designed supporting software; Can store keyboard profiles for each executable; Handsome design; Excellent manual

No dedicated media or macro keys

Corsair Strafe Mechanical Keyboard review

I gotta be honest with you guys, I've been a fan of the Corsair gaming keyboard series ever since the beginning. The K70 RGB was the highlight of the year, the gadget factor was so immense.

Corsair Strafe Mechanical Keyboard Review

We have reviewed quite a bit of Corsair gaming keyboards in the past and we can say that while they are a bit more expensive, the quality is top-notch and the experience is quite unique.

Corsair drives the development of its products in order to remain a constant in the global playing field that is input devices. For the development, Corsair among others work with the gaming community to help offer them exactly what they want.

Gets the job done nicely.

I don't care much for the fancy backlighting. Backlighting is good, but I'm pretty utilitarian. I see no need for the lights -- but if you're into that sort of thing, it might be good for you.

The big sell for this keyboard isis, of course, its use of Cherry MX Keys; You should weigh your options before choosing which to get; Look online for more information -- many reviews take the time to discuss the differences.

My main complaint is the spacebar; It seems a bit dodgy depending on how you apply pressure; Maybe it's just me, but I don't like it; They also ONLY give you the special texturized key for this one, no regular spacebar, so be aware of that; I don't go for the texturized WASD etc.

Within 3 months.. Bottom left CTRL key no longer works.

I was excited. I had been using the corsair K-70 keyboard for the longest time and found it was an amazing keyboard. I purchased this strafe for my GF so she would finally have a good keyboard. Shes a nice gamer - doesn't smash her keyboard like I do.

This is an amazing keyboard

This review comes from this very keyboard :D the lighting effects on this are pretty cool only red color but that suits me as my setup theme is black and red. The feedback from the switches is by far one of the best ive ever used.

Everything

None that i know off

Maybe I was just unlucky

Maybe I was just unlucky Packaging: There was none, it arrived in the manufacturer's box Installation: This was a first, and I've bought many keyboards over the years. Apart from a 'wave' of light none of the keys actually worked. Even my mouse was sluggish to non-responsive.

Could be better

I would spend the extra money to upgrade to an RGB keyboard if given the opportunity it would fix the issue with the issue with the lights and solved the issue with the noise during typing. Overall good keyboard that could be fixed by having different switches and better quality LED's

The keyboard has a nice look to it and feels great to type on and even better to game on

I have used this for a little over a year and I have already had ten keys go out; The sound when typing is really load and can get annoying when gaming; I have to put oring under the key to balance it out
