Corsair SF600 Power Supply

We recently evaluated Corsair's SF450, which left a good impression on us. Now it's time to test the family's flagship SF600, which can deliver 150W more power using exactly the same cable configuration.

Full power at 47 °C; Efficient; Ripple Suppression; Load regulation; Transient response; 5VSB performance; Compact dimensions; Quality caps; Build quality; Fully modular; Hold-up time; Warranty

Price; Noisy; No option to deactivate the semi-passive mode; Single EPS connector; Should have more PCIe and SATA connectors; No Berg adapter is provided; ATX cable should be longer; No SFX to ATX adapter

Corsair SF600 SFX PSU

Corsair has a well-established number of power-supply units (PSUs) in its current arsenal. Some focus on all-out performance, others on excellent ripple suppression, while some that place value higher up the list of priorities.

Seven-year warranty; Competitive price; Excellent performance; Ideal for a smaller build

SFX remains a niche market

Corsair SF600 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular SFX Power Supply Review

The Corsair SF600 is available from Scan.co.uk for £99.98 , which is obviously a bit more than most 600W units, but keep in mind that gold efficiency and the compact SFX form factor, as it's one of the best performance and priced SFX PSUs on the market today.

Excellent efficiency rating; Managed to exceed watt rating by +200; Quiet fan; Zero RPM and silent at <40% load; All flat cables; Fully modular; Low ripple and stable voltages; Competitive price; SFX form factor; 7-year warranty

Corsair SF600 600W

The world of the small form factor PC has gone rather neglected over the years when it comes to decent power supplies in the form factors required for these tiny cases. For too many years now, we either had our choice between one good brand with decent but underpowered stuff or total overrated junk.

Corsair SF600 600W SFX Power Supply Review

Over the years, we have seen only a few SFX power supplies and, to date, all of those units have been good. In fact, today, the Corsair SF600 is just the third SFX unit we have seen. Obviously, over the years we have seen a great many more Corsair units than that.

Corsair SF600

Like I mentioned in our disclaimer at the start of our coverage. In order to keep up the standards we use in other LanOC reviews I can't in good conscience put the SF600 through halfhearted testing and say it's great. Testing power supplies to our standards requires equipment that we don't have.

terrible Quality Control

Corsair used to be one of the best products, but lately, their items should be sold at the big W and big K, because that's where their quality is at now.

Gold rated It did not work out of the box; Built whole system in a small form case, only to have to then spends hours trouble shooting; After all that, turned out Corsair PSU Gold was DOA

Great SFX Power Supply! (See if Refurbished is available though)

Fantastic Power Supply. Cables were slightly too short for my build in the Fractal Design Nano S, but overall, can't complain. I returned the one I got from Amazon, since Corsair's certified refurbished version was over $60 cheaper than the Amazon version.

I had a 6700k and 1080 and it was rated at 400 watts but with the the cpu oc, i could never even try to put one drop of extra load on the 1080 or it would crash from under voltage. And the wattage on the wall was only showing 420 but no matter what i did it just wouldnt keep up.

Its size is incredible; cables are nice and short

The lanes dont hold up under load

The size and power of this thing is truly amazing.. a silent wonder of modern electrical engineering

The size and power of this thing is truly amazing.. a silent wonder of modern electrical engineering. However, the cables are shoddy. Really tough to bend, ugly and they never feel like they fit in the holes. You are almost certainly going to need to replace or extend these things.
