The new Obsidian is a pretty awesome chassis. The side-panel door concept that can open up at the front side and fitted with tempered glass really is the icing on top of the cake. Design and looks, however, are personal. I totally dig the dark looks, but then again some might disagree with me.

The 500D is a welcome return for Corsair to more premium cases, and it feels like a worthy addition to the much-loved Obsidian Series. The combination of brushed aluminium and tempered glass is hardly revolutionary, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work very well, and we like what Corsair has done...

The Corsair Obsidian 500D is a sleek and stellar looking chassis which is more than capable of housing your components. We do feel the cooling needs help, and current pricing is a touch high, yet at the same time, we cannot stop ourselves from recommending it!

Corsair does a great job at designing beautiful looking cases, everything on the Obsidian 500D screams high-end. The finish on the case is flawless, and the attention to detail shows. With Tempered Glass side panels, you will want to have a clean interior to show off your components.

It was a bit difficult to remove from initial packaging. Package arrived earlier than expected and allowed me to rebuild my computer with the necessary upgrades the same day my other parts arrived. Great product, well worth the money, airflow increased and dropped my computer temps by almost 25%.

Unfortunately unable to test as still waiting on the rest of my rig... but came with adhesive bottom unprotected on inner devices... commander module stuck to the tempered glass... Trying to carefully remove it without damaging or breaking anything...
