Corsair Carbide Series 270R

★★★★★
Verdict: Corsair refreshed its chassis portfolio the other week with a trio of new launches targeting the premium, mid-range and entry-level markets. The eye-catching Crystal Series 570X RGB and 470X RGB were the duo that hogged the limelight, but if you're keeping tabs on the purse strings during the costly...
Pros:
  • Simple
  • uncluttered exterior
  • Spacious and easy to work with
  • PSU and storage drives hidden from view
  • Prices start at £60
Cons:
  • Awkward I/O port positioning
  • Lacks front and top dust filters
  • Red LED fan looks tacky

Corsair Carbide 270R Review

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: For a mid-tower chassis this SKU feels compact, yet houses everything you need and feels spacious inside. I like that. Next to that, I think Corsair hit the nail on the head on the overall looks (as subjective as that is of course).

Corsair Carbide 270R

★★★★★ 4.8
Verdict: The Carbide 270R from Corsair is full of win. This chassis is affordable to anyone who wants to build a system. The aesthetics may be mundane, but there is something to be said about clean simplicity in chassis design too.

Corsair Carbide 270R

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: I wanted a mid tower case without any see through side panels and Corsair really delivered with the 270R. It only comes with one fan instead of two like the 270R with an acrylic side panel, but that's not really a big deal. My rig is near silent, even with five fans and a Gammax 400 CPU cooler.

Verdict: It's always nice when we get a case to look at before the NDA has been lifted as it gives us time to look it at it without having any preconceptions with regards to its qualities.

One Minute Review: Corsair Carbide 270R

★★★★★ 3.0
Verdict: For the price, Corsair's latest mid-tower case is pretty much exactly what you should expect. There's a nagging feeling that it's more or less unfinished – there's an inset mesh panel on top waiting for fans or a radiator, but the offset mounting points look odd, and it really looks as though it was...

Corsair Carbide 270R

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: It's a very good case, solid and bags of room internally (ish). The separate PSU enclosure and cable routes are good, the hard drive mounts are a good idea - but the top 3.5" mount is very close to the IO panel so cables kinda get in the way a bit (I'm only using one of the 3.5" mounts, so not a...

Good economical case

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: If you don't need to have an optical drive this is a good economical case option that promises good airflow and cable management. It can very easily accommodate water coolers, and I love the setup for SSD and HDD mounting. A very easy case to work with.

Great case

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: This case is excellent, provides a lot of room, keeps the components cool. However the case has two problems, the power and HDD led come as blue and the case fan comes as red. If you like the police/ambulance theme then this is great for you.
