Cooler Master MM710 Gaming Mouse Review

In the fast-expanding world of esports mice, one characteristic is prized above any other: lightness. Dropping every ounce, some believe, can make the split-second difference when you have to quick-draw, twitch, and shoot, staring down the barrel of another player's weapon. Cooler Master's newest gaming-mouse entry, the $49.99 MM710, chases this trend to the logical extreme. It's a small, incredibly lightweight option for players looking for a mouse that gets out of the way and lets them play. While the mouse is, indeed, very light (Cooler Master's design for the mouse comprises...well, less mouse), it also makes some compromises that may not be worth it for some players. Gotta Go Fast Typical of competition-mouse designs, the MM710 Gaming Mouse is a basic, no-frills device. It's a standard six-button, right-handed setup: two main clickers, a scroll wheel, and a tracking-resolution-switching button on top, plus two macro buttons on the left edge. Similar Products ...

Cooler Master's MM710 esports mouse is one of the lightest things on padded feet for serious twitch gamers, but the compact, minimalist design is definitely not for everyone.

Extremely light honeycomb design; Looks spiffy without sacrificing durability; Gunk-resistant coating; Competitive configuration software

Very small; Shortcut buttons favor righties only; Profile-save limitations

Featherweight but a little wobbly

Pros: Very very light in hand. Performance is very good. Size is not too small. Looks cool. Cons: Default mouse pointer speeds are way too fastcable is soft and light. Left click and right click buttons are a little bit wobbly. You can hear weird sound when you try to scroll wheel very fast. In general a good mouse.

Great light weight mouse

All the previous issues from the earlier reviews are fixed now. The mouse buttons aren't wobbly and the scroll wheel feels solid. For my preference, the shape feels comfortable, and the holes aren't distracting since my fingers don't touch them. For now, let's see how it goes overtime.

Such a good mouse with so much potential let down by a few issues.

The good - Great buttons, shape, cord, sensor, latency, mouse-skates, and is incredibly lightweight. The bad - has rattle, m1 wobbles more than m2 (you can feel the friction between the plastic) And the main problem in my opinion that sets this mouse back significantly is the forward-most hole on the right side. It's because your pinky finger sits there naturally in a claw grip, and because of this you need to force your pinky more to the front thus putting your hand into a weird position which is really uncomfortable. Wish they would remove that one singular hole and the shape would've been 100% complete. Will try to RMA this copy ...view more

Great!!

Very light, I had been informed that this mouse had issues with breaking, but cooler master released a second batch and fixed all of that. Great mouse!

Great but the software could use help

Perfectly fits my hand and actually helped a lot in terms of aiming in cs, the only problem for me was that the software didnt bind certain keys correctly which forced me to change some key bindings
