Cisco AIR-LAP1142N Reviews

User Reviews:

Works Great

Verdict: To the previous post, these units are powered off of an Ethernet port using Power over Ethernet (PoE). Also, you must have a controller to manage these units. This is why this model is a lightweight access point (LAP). If you do not have a controller, you must use a standalone access point.
Pros: These lightweight access points work great. We have around 25 of these installed with our Cisco Wireless LAN Controller and have absolutely no complaints
Cons: none

Verdict: These Cisco Air-Lap AP work just as I expected... great. Our whole school has these spread out to allow seamless wifi connectivity and we had a few gaps... hence the need for more. These fit the bill and closed that gap. I would recommend these to anyone.
