Router performs well, however, the GUI based configuration (Configuraiton Professional) tool shipped with product dos not work AT ALL. Required multiple calls to Cisco technical support to completed configuration. Without GUI tool CLI skills a must.

Much faster than my Cisco 1751V

I like the smaller form factor and this device is much faster than my Cisco 1751V which had a max throughput of 6Mbps. This device has the DMVPN features I need and the speed I like.

Cisco is bulletproof

Look, if you're Joe Average and you're looking for a router, this isn't for you, move on and find yourself a Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, Asus or one of the countless other consumer-grade routers on the market.

Cisco professional grade products have legendary reliability; I've got a router and a switch that are both end-of-life / end-of-sale that have been running for more than 7 years without a reboot.

Cons...yes working in CLI of IOS sucks; Cisco licensing sucks, and Cisco products aren't cheap

Low cost entry to "real" Cisco world

This is "entry level" of quite modest performance but is nevertheless a full-fledged IOS-based Cisco router with a substantial feature set. It is ideal for my purpose, which is to "learn IOS". I felt I was ready for this after many years in the software-IT field.
