I use this for planetary viewing and star grazing with a specialized binocular mount. Venus' crescent popped right out as did Jupiter's moons...and I look forward to many a night of viewing the planets and some deep-sky objects.

Strong construction, good optics, very good durable item. These binos hit the sweet spot and can be hand-held or tripod mounted. Theses binos make for a very good portable viewing instrument. Well worth the price I paid.

Haven't had much time with it at the moment but the very little time I spent after setting up the device I enjoyed every moment. Am not a pro on this issue but it excellent quality. A lot more can be said but no time to give further comment. I will recommend this to anyone that's all for now.

Perfect at a bargain price...

This is a very good binocular for a first timer. I have found it easy to use so far and not much heavy. Live in inner city area so not much to see so far due to light pollution.

"Too many stars!"

I would say that these are a pretty good entry level pair of binoculars for someone just starting to explore the night skies. The field of view is wide enough so that with a bit of practice you can know what constellations you are looking at, but the magnification is strong enough to blow your mind...

Good field of view; but with reasonable magnification

Weight; and eyecups letting light in from the side

Perfect for beginner, but will use throughout all aspects of stargazing.

My only problem, and not a criticsm of the binoculars themselves, is getting a stable image. I build a small bracket that slots between the mount and the tripod and is fixed to one lense tube with velcro. Perfectly stable. I am staggered at the clarity and number of objects I can see.

light; easy to carry; price; portability

Big and Heavy you will need Tripod

If you use it with a Tripod it is a Great Binocular. Without a Tripod you can use for 15-20 minutes, after that your arms will hurt. The Tripod adapter provided needs to be filled with Araldite, as it is made of plastic and cannot bear the weight of the Binocular.

Good balance between wt and power, very enjoyable

Bought it for astronomical purpose. Our telescope, which is lot more powerful has very small field of view and is cumbersome to use. It is hard for me to keep my 9 years old engaged. However, she does enjoy seeing things like saturn rings. This binoculars are lot more fun.

Excellent for amateurs!

My binoculars arrived last week and I couldn't wait to get out and look at the night sky with them. So many stars! They are relatively light and easy to steady given the size, I haven't used them with a tripod yet but will do so for focusing on particular objects e.g. andromeda.
