Nice and useful lens. Only for pros or advanced amateurs

The main reason to bought this product was the capability for perspective correction when shooting architecture, I do a lot of this kind of photography. This feature is nice and works very well. Saves me a lot of time in photoshop. Barrel distortion is fine too.

My workhorse lens

I have owned this lens since it was first released a few years ago, and it is permanently attached to one of my 5D MKII's. As a dedicated architectural photographer, I use this lens for 90% of my commissioned work.

Superior build quality; Super-sharp images

Canon TS-E 24mm f3.5L II

With both tilt and shift movements, as a wider version of the earlier TS 35mm f/2.8 SSC FD, the original Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 caused quite a stir when introduced in the early 90's.

Every Landscape Photographer should have one!

I wanted a lens that would give me edge to edge sharpness with little or no distortion ,and that I'd be able to continue using my Lee Filters, this is it! I have the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Lens , while its a great lens.

Challenging

As an amateur, this lens is challenging, but rewarding too. The shift effect makes panoramas and architectural shots with nice straight lines both very easy. Getting expanded depth of field shots is tricky, mainly due to focusing at both the far and near points while micro–adjusting the tilt...

it is a nice and very expensive toy.

Pros: Cons: Heavy Other thoughts: The best usage: a landscape with horizontal tilting for the better DOF. The agngle of the tilt is very small for the real architechture works. Miniatures - toys for no more than 10 pictures, after that you realize that it is not series.

Great Lens

This lens is great if you have a more advanced knowledge in photography. It gives precise colors and exceptional picture quality. This lens is a little pricey but worth it. This lens also gives the photographer the advantage to tilt the lens which is a huge advantage.

Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II

I'm just amazed the quality of images obtained with this lens! Sharp as a razor, from the center to the extreme corners, even at open aperture. Perfect for the artistic and architectural photography, TS-E 24/L3.5 II simply the best 24mm lens.

Razor sharp; brilliant picture quality; no CA

A superb lens for architectural

Any tilt and shift lens takes a bit of getting used to. This is no different. Put in a bit of effort learning how to get the best out of it and it will reward you with images you could not get with a standard lens. Sharp and a big step up from the Mark I version in optical quality and ease of use.
