With the introduction of the Speedlite 600EX-RT, one thing was inevitable – more radio-enabled flashes from Canon should be expected. Surprisingly, the 600EX-RT remained Canon's only radio-enabled flash for more than three years.
Like so many reviews here (that I wish I read before purchasing) I have to agree that you shouldnt buy this for professional work. The speedlite is really unreliable, after about 15-30 shots in succession the flash will just grind to a halt and only for maybe every 4th or 5th photo.
I love this new 430EX III flash. I previously owned the 430EX, but quickly upgraded to the 580EX to get better rotation of flash head to the left (90 degrees vs. 180), and also for the built-in bounce card. However, the 580EX is a large body, and actually dominates my 6D.
exactly what i was looking for to compliment my new canon dslr. price was great, service was outstanding with the order placed tuesday eve, shipped wednesday (with notification i'd receive it friday) and got it thursday. i'm always happy with Crutchfield.

I bought this to use on my canon sx60hs and I have to say used it for a wedding and was quite pleased with the speed and ease of use. Made the camera a bit more heavy but all in all very pleased and when I move up to a DSLR then I can use it also on that as well.
Super-fast and silent recycling. You can just keep shooting and the 430EX III RT keeps blasting out the power with no waiting. Built in infra-red autofocus illuminator.
Love this flash, I own Yongnuos and finally I said to my self "Go ahead and buy a Canon Flash". Well, the Yongnuo cannot compete with the 430EX, this flash is so much better and illuminates my subjects more accurate. I don't regret buying it.
Pros: Excellent mate for Canon 60D. Relatively light in weight and firmly attaches to the camera's hot shoe. This unit worked seamlessly in automatic mode with the camera and provided exceptional illumination for the photos taken thus far. Cons: None Other thoughts:
I am very happy with the canon speedlite 430EX III-RT it's quite simple to use and reliable. Reasonabley priced to.
