Impressive: Prints are better than I expected

I just printed a few pictures. The printouts are very nice and clear. There are no streaks lines like ones from Polaroid Printer. It is 4" X 6" as well. Cost comes to around $0.30 cents per print. Most others printers cost around $1. I would recommend this one.

FLAWS

Has problems detecting paper when there is clearly paper in the tray, but this leads to my major issue with this thing. any time there is a glitch where it says it can't print a photo, despite using no ink the catridge just skips over that unused ink to the next one.

Not so amazing

First of all it's not as simple to use as it says here. The the instructions are small letters with complicated details to match. But with a little time and patience one gets it done.

Picture printing is straight forward and prints are great too.

I just couldn't get to work with Wi-Fi, so gave up on that. Works perfectly well by transferring pictures to a USB flash drive (easy if I can work it out) for the computer or slotting in the SDHD card from the camera. Picture printing is straight forward and prints are great too.

Not an inkjet printer, but makes good prints

The Wal-Mart description calls this an inkjet printer, which is it not. It uses a dye-sublimation technology, which uses a large ribbon which lays down the 3 primary colors in 3 passes through the printer, then lays down a clear layer over the top.

The new CP1200 printer is a great update from my former CP910. I installed it quickly, after downloading the driver from the Canon website (why no CD). The printer found my wireless link and worked immediately. The paper and cartridges from the former printer are compatible.

Great quality prints when taking into account it is a small portable photo printer. Obviously not going to be photolab quality. Colors appear a bit washed out compared to the screen displays. Great if you want a fun little printer to quickly fire off a few prints for friends and family.

Glad to have found you

For years I used an HP 130 Photosmart. No comparison. The Canon unit is far and abovemuch better.

extremely easy to use; quiet operation

Brilliant Little Printer

I am so glad I bought this little printer. The prints are just as good as from a bigger printer or a photo lab, BUT YOU CAN TAKE THIS PRINTER WITH YOU! All you need is a mains socket to plug it in and then you can print direct from your camera or phone either with a USB cable or via WiFi.
