My attention was drawn to this camera due to it having a manual focus option. It handled this well, and I was then pleasantly surprised to discover just how many other features it had.
Pros:
- Manual Focus
- Crisp Detail
- Wide Variety of Features (eg Face recognition
- Colour Accent
- Tilt Shift mode
- control of the exposure triangle
Cons:
- Flash in an inconvenient spot and mode selection wheel a little stiff

Great all in one point and shoot for travelling
This is my second Canon camera and with so many other digital camera choices out there, that is stating something. I am happy with the Canon brand and its features. Great compact
Great quality pictures and video. Easy to use. High ISO for low light. Only cons are its a little heavy compared to other compacts and the pop up flash makes camera slightly harder to hold as your hands get in the way of the pop up flash. Great all rounder.
Pros:
- Durable
- Great Features
- Great Picture Quality
- Simple Controls
Cons:
- Pop Up Flash
- Quite Heavy

PowerShot SX260HS Fails
I bought my SX260HS camera on January 11, 2013 looking forward to taking many pics of my grandkids in an upcoming visit. I practiced with movies, snapshots, etc until I felt comfortable. Then, just 7 days later, on Jan 18, I opened the camera to take some more practice pics.
Pros:
- easy to use
Cons:
- Flimsy Construction
- failure of warranty responsibility

Excellent camera, pictures, most movies
I love the camera. It is excellent for most everything. The pictures are high quality. I like to do wildlife movies. Also do a lot of international travel. There are some negatives. The biggest problem is the battery life. Found it insufficient.
Pros:
- Easy To Use
- Good Image Quality
- Good Image Stabilization
- Great Zoom
- Large Clear LCD
- Nice Body Color
- Short Lag Time
- Small / Compact
Cons:
- Movie Recording Limit
- Short Battery Life

Super camera.
Super camera. Used 230sx 2 years, now bought a 260, even ecstatic. Simplicity and functionality. I'm not a pro, all that is necessary for normal pictures on vacation, I have with this camera.

I bought this after my hs320 died so it was quite a jump for me, mostly because we strayed from the super slim body to reap some of the rewards of a larger lens and sensor. I hate comparing the two at all because they are in completely different spectrums within the point-n-shoot class.

Sadly Disappointed
Despite the glowing reviews by camera websites and users, I was sadly disappointed by the very soft pictures; my 5 yr old Panasonic was much sharper. Fortunately I was able to exchange it at BB.
