Fantastic all rounder
The PowerShot SX260 HS is a great backup compact camera when you are using any digital SLR....when the moment arises and you need to capture images quickly,this compact digital is what you want.When there simply isn't enough time to set up your DSLR ..

Canon PowerShot SX260 HS
The SX260 HS is small, well designed and, for point and shoot snappers, performs a treat too. But in such a hotly contested market place it could do with that little bit more oomph to really take it to the next level: we'd like to see a touchscreen with edge-to-edge focus control in the future.
Pros:
- Among the best/most detailed shots in its class
- big zoom in a small body
- well priced for a Canon (often holds a price premium)
- ease of use
Cons:
- Limited AF selection in manual modes
- no touchscreen
- chromatic aberrations visible (colour fringing)
- 500mm max aperture is f/6.8
- no raw files

Outstanding in all ways
Other than the slippery-body - I LOVE this camera !! It does everything well - and I'm very happy with it !! I'm planning to take it to "Rocky Mountain National Park" next week (instead of my Canon 35mm digital) - and put it through its paces. I'm sure that it will pass with flying-colors.
Pros:
- picture quality is superb - size is NICE - and the zoom on it
- is to die for (20X) !
Cons:
- the body of the camera is slippery - and consequently
- I've dropped it twice already.

The Canon PowerShot SX260 HS is a blogger's dream come true. The camera takes beautiful and clear images optimized for online sharing. While there is a learning curve for some of the settings and features, once you know how to use this camera, the perfect picture can be yours in any situation.
Pros:
- Zoomed pictures still turn out crystal clear
Cons:
- HD video only exports in MOV files
- so you're limited in your sharing and exporting options

Excellent for a Canon Camera
I have a Canon S70 PowerShot and it was giving me an E30 error. I could only find it was an internal issue and lost about 2 weeks of precious photo shots. So, being I like Canon, and Nikon cameras, I opt for this model. I selected this model from Dell's website, and Dell quickly shipped it to me.

Powershot HS260 HS Camera
I absolutely love this camera!! I travel a lot and I needed a camera that fits in my purse, and yet has good picture quality. The battery life is short but one may buy additional battery to compensate for the one that comes with the camera.
Pros:
- Fast/accurate auto-focus
- Good Image Quality
- Good Image Stabilization

Little can become Big
I'm a semi-pro. Most sales are [4] but I hit big a few months ago... [$] which was split with agent. The pic was taken with my little 4 year old Canon SD780. Its so small, I take it everywhere.

wonderful camera
I just purchased this camera and took a stunning photo of snow falling and CHristmas lights- the lighting and each little snowflake show up beautifully! And there is an easy to use movie button also!
