Great all in one point and shoot for travelling
This is my second Canon camera and with so many other digital camera choices out there, that is stating something. I am happy with the Canon brand and its features. If you are looking for a great all-in-one camera for traveling, the outdoors, or for just everyday use, the Canon PowerShot SX260 is...

Super camera.
Super camera. Used 230sx 2 years, now bought a 260, even ecstatic. Simplicity and functionality. I'm not a pro, all that is necessary for normal pictures on vacation, I have with this camera.

I bought this camera specifically because I wanted a camera with higher zoom. At the same time, I didn't want one of those bulky DSLR cameras. I've been watching for sales on this camera for a long time. I've seen it regularly priced for $300 which is a bit more than I wanted to spend.

We have travelled far and wide and this camera has been excellent for our pictures. Saves carrying a lot of big lenses.

You can't go wrong buying a Canon Camera.
Great portable camera to have. I accidentally dropped mine and the repair was reasonable. However, the new/replacement camera didn't have the one feature that I bought this one for. I bought this one for the GPS location tagging of the pictures. New camera had WiFi built in instead.

Canon SX260 HS Review
Every bit of the Canon SX260 HS is so beautiful, that we have a ridiculously hard time putting it down. The camera is extremely slim, sturdy (thanks to the metal frame) and the curved edges make it extremely comfortable in the hands.
Pros:
- Slim and sturdy
- Great performance even at ISO 3200
- Intuitive interface and ergonomics
Cons:
- Trifle expensive
- Poor audio recording
- Mediocre video recording in low light

I bought this after my hs320 died so it was quite a jump for me, mostly because we strayed from the super slim body to reap some of the rewards of a larger lens and sensor. I hate comparing the two at all because they are in completely different spectrums within the point-n-shoot class.

Without a doubt the worst camera I ever had. Jerky zoom, poor image quality. Luckily backed up over it in parking lot and flattened it. Marked the end any future Canon purchases.
