Great little camera! Takes good photos and has a pop-up flash. FYI this camera does not come with a USB cord or a memory stick. Also, it has a rechargeable battery (NOT AA batteries as the listing says).
I needed a camera for work for quick med range and a few close up shots. Also the wife wanted to use it once in awhile for pics without needing to know settings. I'm sure this camera is not for the professional but it does everything I need it to do well.
It is one of the best bridge cameras from canon stable. Its only drawback is the aperture range. Had they gone below 3.5 it would have been a boon for people who cannot afford a slr yet would like to enjoy photography.

If you hate AA batteries, but like inexpensive compacts with manual controls, the 16x zoom Canon PowerShot SX170 IS takes a good photo. Otherwise, seek out its predecessor, the SX160 IS.
