Canon Powershot S95
The Canon Powershot S95 is a great little camera. Picture quality is spot on and there are not many cameras offering so many features in such a small body. I really like the colours it produces. The sharpness of the photos it delivers is eye catching.
Pros:
- General features
- picture sharpness
- overall picture quality
- small size
Cons:
- A jog wheel would round the camera off very nicely

Product Reviews: Canon PowerShot S95
While the Nikon Coolpix P7000-reviewed -is a compact camera with top-shelf features, it's not really small enough to fit in your pocket and take anywhere. (Unless you have big pockets.) The super sleek Canon S95, on the other hand, is seriously pocket-worthy.
Pros:
- The best true pocket camera on the market
- bright f/2.0 lens
- 720p HD video mode with stereo sound
- effective Hybrid Image Stabilization
- great for low light shooting
- classic discreet design

Canon Powershot S95
Building on the success of the S90, the S95’s handling has been improved and there are some useful new features. Image quality is also right up there with the bulkier LX5, but it does lose some flexibility as a result.

Canon PowerShot S95 review
Canon's 10-megapixel S95 , upgrade to the S90, is aimed at photo enthusiasts who value the portability of a snapshot model but don't want to forego creative control. Notably, it includes a manually operated function ring that encircles the lens barrel.
Pros:
- Small form factor yet rugged semi-pro build
- adjustable function ring speeds operation
- intuitive to use
Cons:
- No handgrip
- costs almost as much as a budget DSLR
- no optical zoom if recording video

Canon PowerShot S95 review
In the interest of brevity, let's get this out of the way up front: if you're in the market for a pocket camera, the new Canon PowerShot S95 is an excellent choice. It blew me away and you won't regret buying one. You can stop reading now and head to the camera store, if you want to.
Pros:
- Excellent image quality
- Built in image stabilization
- Very good in low light
Cons:
- Can't zoom or autofocus while shooting video
- No hotshoe for external flash
- Fairly expensive

Canon PowerShot S95
Canon's PowerShot S95 is a pocket-sized camera aimed at enthusiasts who want a compact model which doesn't compromise on features. Announced in August 2010, it replaces the earlier PowerShot S90 which revived the old S-series with a new look and direction.
Pros:
- Pocketable body with great controls and customisation
- 3.8x zoom with bright f2.0 aperture at 28mm
- Great quality 3in / 460k screen
- Full manual control
- RAW files and 720p HD movies
Cons:
- Slow continuous shooting at full resolution
- Can't optically zoom while filming
- Panasonic Lumix LX5 better-featured
- Quality beaten by mirror-less 'EVIL' compacts
