The new Canon PowerShot S110 is an understated and rather elegant little P&S digital camera that offers a lot of professional features. The S110 (like its "S" series predecessors) was designed for serious photographers looking for a pocketable compact camera with lots of creative capability.
Pros:
- Compact
- Easy to use
- First rate optics
- Excellent image quality
- Manual exposure capability

- Great design and handling: lens ring
- settings wheel
- touchscreen
- Onboard Wi-Fi for image transfer
- Picture quality up to 800
- or even 1600 ISO
- Manual mode
- RAW mode

- Corners of shots aren't as sharp at wide-angle

- Access to websites can't be configured directly in the camera
- Limited battery life

A solid upgrade over the S100
The Canon Powershot S110 brings some key performance improvements as well as the touchscreen which makes this 4th generation S series camera probably the best yet. Image quality remains decent on this camera but overall, about the same as last year in terms of ISO performance.

buy spare batteries!
This camera takes great pics and Raw mode was a prerequisite to me purchasing, as its the 2.0 aperture. I only have 2 complaints. I think the camera is way too complex and overloaded with features, like watching for a babies smile to snap a picture, etc.
Pros:
- Good Low-Light Performance
- excellent image quality
- Bright LCD
- Lightweight/Portable
Cons:
- Short battery life
- Complicated controls/menu
