Good One
It is a better camera than a regular point and shoot, but costs more and is worth more. Just if you have the money to spend, I would recommend to friends.
Pros:
- This has the larger sensor than the run of the mill point and shoot Canons
- I have used my G9, which uses a similar sized sensor, for about four years and it is great for portraits and snapshots as well as panaramas.
Cons:
- It is small and you might lose it, whereas a big DSLR is never to be lost in its big bag and all the lenses
- I really can't think of a reason to buy a big camera, unless you need to take professional pictures of highest possible quality, which most family pics are not

Oldie but a goodie
This is my second S100. The first got washed with my hoodie because I forgot it was in the pocket. The perfect "the camera you have". This was bought as an interim camera but I will keep it as a carry around. Solid build. Pretty good ergo. You can get third party grips etc.
Pros:
- Easy To Use
- Fast/accurate auto-focus
- Good Image Quality
- Good Image Stabilization
- Good in Low Light
- Small / Compact
- Solid
Cons:
- No Viewfinder

Bought in the U.S. from Bestbuy ( www.bestbuy.com ) for about 430 USD. It is in the current situation around 3100 kr. In Sweden, it may still be a bit too pricey. The quality of the camera feels solid. Pictures are great. Small and flexible. Fun with GPS capability.

Canon PowerShot S100 Digital Camera Review
There's a lot to love about the S100, and as a highly functional compact it checks almost all the right boxes. Images are sharp and rich with detail in both good and bad lighting conditions, and the 24-120m lens is versatile enough to not feel limiting.

Had a problem with the lens not retracting and freezing the camera. Contacted Canon and they sent me PrePaid postage to send it for repair, Turn around was 8 days and the camera was completely fixed for free. Greatest camera service ever experienced

Canon S100 Review
Get the $30 Canon PSC-900 leather case . I got one for my S95, and it is also the same for my S100. It's very well made out of real leather, and works great. The S100 is the best pocket camera ever made by Canon, and Canon makes the world's best pocket cameras.

Disappointed.
Camera stopped working shortly after purchase. I was in a hot and humid climate on vacation and that is the only reason I can think for why it stopped functioning properly, but regardless it should not be an issue. Disappointed.

Canon PowerShot S100
The Canon PowerShot S100 is, in conclusion, one of the smallest and most comfortable cameras today which still manages to give a really nice performance, despite flaws such as short battery life and slowness.
